Okay people… it’s time. I promised you an announcement, Des has given me the green light, and I have been BURSTING to show you what we’ve been building behind the scenes. 🥁🥁🥁 SKOOL EVENTS DAILY IS OFFICIALLY ONLINE! 🎉 Yep. We’ve gone and got ourselves a proper website. And I have to say… it’s looking rather fabulous. 😍 We’ve just massively upgraded what VIP gets you — and you’ve got 48 hours to get it at the old price. Your events are already there, and people can now find them by Today, This Week, Upcoming Events, category and even by host. We’ve brought over From Heather’s Desk, Experts Corner, Editor’s Picks, our Partners, and we’ve got more coming too — including our Collaboration Station. 👉 LINK TO THE NEW SKOOL EVENTS DAILY WEBSITE HERE And possibly one of my favourite bits… NO MORE FORMS! 🙌 VIP members can use the Magic Button to send us their event straight from their calendar. I press a few of my own magic buttons at this end and — hey presto — your event appears on the website. People can click into your event, find out more and go straight through to join or register. Now, here comes the important bit… ⏰ YOU HAVE 48 HOURS. VIP is currently $9 a month. In 48 hours, it goes up to $12 a month. And yes… at some point it may well go up again. So if you’ve been sitting on the fence wondering whether to become a VIP, I’d suggest the fence is becoming a rather expensive place to sit. 😂 👉 UPGRADE TO VIP HERE Only VIP members can submit and promote their events through Skool Events Daily. BUT the website itself is open for everyone to browse, discover events and attend them. Which means your events are no longer just sitting inside our community or tucked away in the Weekly Bulletin. We now have another way of getting them seen, found and shared much further afield. We’re still polishing things, tweaking things and probably pressing the occasional button we shouldn’t 😂 — but it’s live, it’s working and your events are already there.

Have a quick read or listen into Heather Des and Heather have been very busy behind the scenes working on a few secret missions for Skool Events Daily and the first one is nearly ready to be revealed. The big warning is that when the first new project launches, membership prices will be increasing because SED is investing in new ways to help members promote their events and reach further. For now, VIP is still just $9, and Heather’s message to Standard members is simple: if you’ve been thinking about upgrading, now is the time to do it and lock in the current price before the increase. There’ll probably only be around 48 hours’ notice before the launch and price change. You have been warned… stand by your beds. 😆

This is a VIP reminder about getting events properly registered and added to the SED calendar. VIP members need to do two separate things: complete the registration form to have their event included in the Weekly Bulletin, and use the Magic Button to add the event to the calendar. Even if an event has already been submitted for the Bulletin, it won’t automatically appear on the calendar, particularly recurring events. Once the Magic Button is set up, it’s very simple — press it and Heather receives the event information. The submission deadline is due shortly, but Heather is likely to extend it slightly as she’s running behind this week. If anyone has problems, they’re asked to explain clearly what isn’t working so Heather and Des can help. Main message: Get your events in, don’t forget the Magic Button, and shout if you need help. And when I say expert… I mean you’ve been around the event block a few times! 😂 We’re looking for people who are well seasoned in the event arena and really know their stuff. Maybe you’ve spent years organising live events. Maybe workshops, conferences, retreats, networking events or exhibitions are your thing. Perhaps you know the technical side inside out. Or maybe your expertise is getting bums on seats, keeping an audience engaged, finding speakers, securing sponsors, promoting events, following up afterwards… or one of the MANY moving parts that go into creating a really good event. Basically, if events are your world, I want to know about you. We’re building out more of our Experts Corner here at Skool Events Daily, and I want to bring in people who have proper experience and something genuinely useful to share with our members. Not theory not something you watched on YouTube last Tuesday. 😂 I’m talking about the things you’ve learnt from actually DOING it, including the things that went brilliantly, the things that went horribly wrong and the lessons you only learn when you’ve been in the trenches yourself. Because there are a lot of people on Skool running events who would LOVE to learn from people who have already been there and done it. So… Are YOU an event expert? At our first Coffee, Chat & Collab, we all shared an event tip that others could go away and try. Mine was a really simple one. 𝗠𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗶𝗻𝘃𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺 𝘁𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁. Don’t just put your event in the calendar, write a post about it and then sit there hoping everyone spots it. They probably won’t. People are busy. They miss posts. They forget what they saw yesterday. And sometimes they fully intend to come to something and then completely forget about it. 😂 So when I have an event coming up, I message as many members as I reasonably can and send them the 𝗱𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗶𝗻𝘃𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗸. Not a huge sales pitch. Just a friendly personal invitation letting them know what’s happening and giving them an easy way to join. Because there’s quite a difference between someone scrolling past: “𝗜’𝗺 𝗿𝘂𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗻 𝗧𝗵𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗱𝗮𝘆.” …and receiving: “𝗜 𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗺𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗲𝗻𝗷𝗼𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀, 𝘀𝗼 𝗜 𝘄𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗶𝗻𝘃𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂.” One is an announcement. The other feels like an invitation. And if you want people at your event, sometimes you need to stop waiting for them to find it… 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝘃𝗶𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺. ☕🔥 Have you tried personally inviting your members to your events?
