Why Do I Keep Meeting the Same Type of Person?
Have you ever noticed a pattern in the people you attract? Different faces.Different names. But the same behaviors. The same lack of accountability. The same dishonesty. The same emotional unavailability. At some point, I realized the question wasn't just, "Why do I keep meeting these people?" The deeper question was, "What patterns am I missing that keep leading me back to the same type of relationship?" Healing is not just about recovering from heartbreak. It's about recognizing unhealthy patterns so you can stop repeating them. Have you ever found yourself in the same relationship with a different person?

Sometimes we measure our healing against someone else's life and end up feeling discouraged. We see that they moved on, found someone else, or appear happy, and we begin to wonder if we somehow lost. But what if healing is not about who moved on first? What if true healing is learning how to find peace, rebuild your confidence, strengthen your relationship with God, and create a life you are excited about again? Maybe the question is not whether they won. Maybe the question is whether you are becoming the person God is calling you to be despite what happened. What does "winning" look like to you now?
Let's Check In Today 💛
No matter where you are in your healing journey today, I want you to know that you are welcome here. Some days feel hopeful. Some days feel heavy. Some days you may feel like you're making progress, and other days you may feel like you're starting over. No matter what today looks like, God sees you, and He cares about what you're carrying. "Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you." 1 Peter 5:7 Let's check in. How are you feeling today? One word or one sentence is enough.

When It Feels Like They Won
Have you ever found yourself feeling overwhelmed because it seems like they won while you are left trying to pick up the pieces of your life? Maybe they moved on quickly. Maybe they seem happy. Maybe it feels like they are thriving while you are still healing. But do not mistake someone's appearance for their reality. Your healing journey is not a sign that you lost. In fact, choosing to face your pain, work through it, and trust God in the process takes more strength than avoiding it. The truth is that your worth is not determined by who left, who moved on first, or who appears to be doing better. "The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still." Exodus 14:14 God is still working in your life, even when you cannot see the full picture. Keep moving forward. Your healing is not a loss. It is part of your restoration. Have you ever struggled with feeling like the other person won?

Share a Win
No win is too small to celebrate. Maybe you prayed instead of worrying. Maybe you did not reach out to the person you were trying to let go of. Maybe you got out of bed when you did not feel like it. Maybe you simply made it through a difficult day. What is one small win you have had recently? Let's celebrate progress together.

God Gives Strength for Today
"But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint." Isaiah 40:31 Sometimes we think we need strength for the next year, the next month, or even the next week. But often God simply gives us strength for today. If you are feeling tired, discouraged, or overwhelmed, remember that God has not forgotten you. Keep putting one foot in front of the other and trust Him with the process. His strength is enough for today.
