Fast Day 7 - Humble Dependence
Scripture: Psalm 35:13 Word for the Day: Humility Biblical Background: David humbled himself through fasting and prayer during difficult seasons. Practical Meaning: Humility invites God’s intervention and grace. Going Beyond Tip: Lay aside pride and approach God honestly today. Daily Prayer: Father, I humble myself before You. Teach me to depend fully on Your strength. Shape my heart to reflect Your humility. Amen. ARE THERE AREAS OF LIFE THST YOU COULD BE MORE HIMBLE IN?

During this devo I just kept hearing the acronym FROG - fully relying on God. I am completely depending on Him for strength and guidance.
A little about me!
Hello everyone, my name is Tracey and I’m joining from Hampton, VA. I’m currently on a journey to grow in my faith, and finding my purpose. Right now, I’m hoping to gain more bible knowledge through a better understanding of understanding Scripture. I joined Better Life Academy because I know that God has more for me to do in the body of Christ, but it requires my willingness to grow spiritually and learn more about Him, and I’m grateful to be learning alongside others who are committed to growing in Christ. One fun fact about me is I enjoy thrifting.

SEEDS Evangelism
I just completed this lesson #2 and I fell so enlightened and encouraged about evangelism ang finding out what my role is. Admittedly, it is the weakest part of my Christian walk because I was not clear on what it actually is. I thought evangelism was only praying the prayer of salvation to a non-beliver! This lesson taught me that evangelism has steps! We don't work this whole process from beginning to end in one conversation or one prayer. I have to make contact and start the conversation, be the messanger. I am asking God to give me the courage and the words needed to plant the seed

This morning service
That was very nice. I really enjoyed it this morning. Thank you Pastor Riddick and Dr.S. Riddick for coming out and continuing to share the word with us this morning.

@Aretha Webster it was a great word this morning! My take aways from today's message were: • Look and listen for the blessing • My location does not limit what God is doing in my life • Through sound and in silence God is always working. He does not have to be loud to be God!

Fast Day 4 - Private Discipline
Scripture: Matthew 6:16–18 “And when you fast, do not look gloomy like the hypocrites, for they disfigure their faces that their fasting may be seen by others. Truly, I say to you, they have received their reward. But when you fast, anoint your head and wash your face, that your fasting may not be seen by others but by your Father who is in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you.” Word for the Day: Purity Biblical Background: Jesus taught that fasting should be done privately, with pure motives, not for public recognition. Practical Meaning: God honors sincerity over visibility. Fasting refines our motives and devotion. Going Beyond Tip: Fast quietly today, focusing more on God’s presence than public acknowledgment. Daily Prayer: Father, purify my heart and motives as I fast. Teach me to seek Your approval alone. Let my devotion be sincere and pleasing to You. Amen.

Great Message and reminder! I explained to someone why I wasn't grabbing a dessert at a luncheon I attended on Monday. I found myself giving an explanation, but no one even asked me why (LOL). Hindsight is 20/20. Less about me and more about God!
