Two seats left. Here's exactly who they're for.
Ableton Live Suite, on an Apple Silicon Mac, and you mix for real. That's wave one. If that's not your setup, you're wave two, I'll come get you when it's real, and nothing to pay either way. What the build learned this week, so you know what you're stepping into: I cut 37 pops and esses by hand on one vocal. It found 16 of my 18 within milliseconds, and it now pulls each one to the level of the words around it, the way my hand does. That's the bar. It has to match my hand before it ever touches yours. The two seats: you get it running on your machine on a call with me, dialed to your music. Founding price locks for life, $29 / $59 / $149 a month. Nothing paid until it's delivered and running. To raise your hand, comment three things: your DAW, what About This Mac says (M1 / M2 / M3 / M4 or Intel), and Suite or Standard with Max. That's it. I DM the ones that fit. No date. Undeniable, not early. And tell me the one thing in your mix you'd hand it first. — DSG

@Muse Theartist Plosive and sibilant heavy vocalists are exactly what this pass was built on. Check your DMs.
I'm picking four of you. Closed beta.
Here's how it works. Tonight I found two bugs I'd never want a founder to hit. One: MIXSTEIN forgot the fights it had already found the second the engine restarted. Two: it was quoting a distortion number on a full mix that only means something on a single tone. Both fixed tonight, and the build is rebuilt. That's the bar. It survives a restart on your machine before it ever gets to you. So here's the move. Four people, hands-on with me. You get it running on your machine on a call with me, dialed to your music. Your founding price locks for life: Essentials $29, Pro $59, Studio $149 a month. Founders keep getting feels and updates the rest of the room never sees. Who I'm picking: you mix for real, in Ableton Live Suite, on an Apple Silicon Mac. That's wave one. Logic, Studio One, PC: you're wave two, and I'll tell you when that's real, not before. How: comment FOUNDER or DM me. Already DM'd me? You're in the pool, no need to do it twice. I pick the four this week and message each of you directly. Nothing to pay to raise your hand. No date on delivery, same as always. Undeniable, not early. First thing you'd put it on: the mix bus, the vocal, or the low end? — DSG

@Chris Foster got you locked in

@Muse Theartist Because the mix bus is where it reads the whole session at once. Per-track is coming after that's solid. Everywhere you can, though? That's the right instinct.
Mixing technique
Hey guys, I am wondering are you mixing with headphones or with monitors? I do that with headphones, but when I go to a studio its always sound better. Unfortunately its so expensive and at my apartment I cannot mix loud so I need to use my headphones. Is that even possible to mix just with headphones?

Absolutely, man. It's easy to try to overcompensate for something you don't have, but mixing in headphones is very doable. There have been engineers who have won Grammys by doing that and that's what they're comfortable with. It all just comes down to understanding and knowing what those headphones sound like when you put sources on them. You know exactly what to listen for and then you can make the correct moves and get the mix to a sonic signature that you like

This is where we are right now. The end for testing individually is coming to an end very rapidly. Up next, I think you all know.

@Michael Garris man, I'm trying to take care of it all, bro. I know it's not possible, but the ideas just keep coming and I keep figuring them out.

@Lance Reed keep an eye out. Something's going to be happening very soon.
Is Mixstein an agentic harness? How is it actually talking to Claude
How does Mixstein actually talk to Claude? Does it call tools?

Good question to answer once, publicly. No — MIXSTEIN isn't an agentic harness, and the product doesn't talk to Claude at all. No LLM ships in it. The engine reads your rendered audio, compares it against your reference and my captured decision data, and drives Ableton directly through the remote-script API. Deterministic — same mix, same reference, same answer every time. The Claude you've seen in my videos is my workbench, not the product. I use AI heavily to build MIXSTEIN. MIXSTEIN doesn't need AI to run. That's why it works offline, costs nothing per use, and your records never leave your machine. That's as deep as I'm going on internals before it ships — founders get the real look first. I appreciate people probing. I understand you're not the first. The curiosity is warranted, I get it, but I won't be giving away any specifics as far as like how I build.
