1 contribution to IT Project Management
Quick question for the aspiring IT project managers and career switchers in here: How are you managing your project deliverables, sprint plans, and portfolio tracking as you build up your hands-on experience?
Stepping out of high-stress roles into PM is an incredible move, but bouncing between messy spreadsheets, messaging apps, and phone notes to keep my learning projects organized was completely killing my momentum during study sessions. I recently started testing a workspace called Floment (floment.ai) to keep my project tracking, study notes, and AI research tools on a single screen so I can stop app-hopping. It's helped me stay focused on building a solid portfolio, but I'm curious how others structure this phase of their career. Before I go over-engineering some complex backend setup... what does your actual project tracking stack look like? Are you guys keeping tasks strictly inside standard spreadsheets, or using a simple, dedicated board to keep your builds moving smoothly?
