What’s happening: Some of our clients have received fraudulent emails regarding the upcoming renewal of their domains. These emails mention unpaid invoices and contain a malicious link for supposed payment. Please do not click on any links or provide any information if you receive such an email. Most recent phishing emails: - Claim that your domain is about to expire. - Create a sense of urgency by threatening suspension or loss of service. - Include an invoice number and payment amount that appear legitimate. - Display WPX branding or mention WPX services. - Contain links that do not lead to official WPX websites. - Are sent from suspicious email addresses that are not associated with WPX. Here’s how to stay safe and be confident in identifying legitimate from fraudulent emails: - The ONLY legitimate WPX domains are: - All official WPX email addresses will end with @wpx.net or @wpxhosting.com You can always verify if you have an actual outstanding invoice by logging directly into your WPX Client Area.
