Creating A New Character
When I create a new character, I always start with a backstory. Name. Where are they from. Likes/dislikes. Dogs/cat person. What do they eat for breakfast? And do they take a hot or cold shower? What are some of your character creation hacks?

Generally I don't name them, they tell me their names. There's a couple of voices I'm still working on though so have named them. Each of mine have a profile including backstory, birthday and likes/dislikes. When we were doing birthday videos, they each had a different sign off. Also if I recall, some of them couldn't speak different languages so Oliver (my main guy) would help them from off camera. Really need to work on the Wing Commanders profile now, although his character is coming along

Thanks for inviting me to the guild.
I have been a professional ventriloquist for over 30 years. I have enjoyed the journey. My goal is to perform more theatre opening shows and maybe dabble in a cruise ship here or there. Hope to see you all at the convention in July.

High Tech or Low Tech
Do you like a figure with a lot of eye/head/hand movement or do you like simple and low tech? I’m in the middle of the road on this one. Weigh in, family

Not that I'm very good with it at the moment but I do like a figure that blinks. I just have the one at the moment and I'm still getting to grips with the controls. On the flip side, animatronic figures have never interested me. Some enjoy it but it's not for me. That's another great thing about our art, the variety of vents and figures.
