I am now working on perfecting two puppets at once during my live shows. What are some risks the vents in this community are taking onstage? (Please keep these safe and family friendly. Just a reminder).
Part of my act is to switch voices with Oliver. We call it voices juggling . At the UK Vent convention 2 years ago, I pushed myself to juggle voices with 2 figures at the same time. Took some practice but we pulled it off.
I did something similar probably about 10 years ago. It was a stage competition at my magic club. I had Oliver talking me through sawing somebody in half, from his open case. The treasurer of the club asked me afterwards if it had been a recording because he genuinely believed Oliver's voice was coming from the open case.
I always wanted to join the Royal Air Force. Took me until I was 43 (turned 44 at basic training) but I achieved it. Ventriloquism wise, I've always wanted to put on a big stage show. That is the plan for when I retire. Since hearing of the Venthaven conVENTion in Cincinnati, I've always wanted to perform on the stage there. I've done the general open mic twice now and the Senior open mic too. Unfortunately we can't make it this year due to work commitments. Hoping to be back next year.
