⚔️ The Fire and the Dust
@Abigail Jackson Daniels & @Daisy Johnson move slowly down the slope, careful not to break the silence. The fire crackles faintly in the wind, its smoke twisting into the darkening sky. From this distance, the figure looks asleep. You call out once. No answer. Another step, closer. Still nothing. The others stay hidden among the rocks, watching your every move. You circle toward the fire. The heat brushes your face, carrying the smell of burned herbs and something older, heavier. The figure’s hood has fallen back. His skin is pale, his eyes half open, staring at nothing. The man is dead. His hand holds a parchment, edges singed but intact. It is a map. Before him, drawn roughly into the gray dust, are the words: Find John the Blacksmith in Readi.. The line ends abruptly, as though he was dragged away mid-stroke. There are faint marks in the dirt beside him, like something heavy was pulled toward the bridge’s shadow. Behind you, the ridge is quiet. The wind fades. Only the fire remains, flickering softly between life and ash. 🎯 What’s next? You stand in silence, the firelight dancing across the map and the dust before you. The night is coming fast. Discuss your next move! PS. The map is in your Inventory now

I will gladly take the blade (as I'm also not 100% certain around the people I've found myself with (LOL!)) and stand guard for a while, observing the group I'm with. We don't know where we are in relation to the points on the map. @Anjo Gaul , I imagine that we can see the volcano from where we are? Could that be enough to orientate the map? I would also like to search the body and take anything that might be of value. His cloak would be a good layer for us to have right now. Better use than on a dead body
Group Inventory & Knowledge is Live
Hey everyone, you can find a classroom course, which is used to show your groups inventory and knowledge. This will be updated based on your adventure and discoveries. It's your group's hub!

Great addition Anjo! That will be so handy to have
⚔️ Day II: Eastward into Ashvale
The sun hangs low, bleeding orange light across the barren hills. The group moves east, following the faint column of smoke that cuts through the horizon. The land is silent. Dry grass cracks under your boots, and the wind whispers through the jagged remains of old trees. Every sound feels louder than it should, carried on the still air. You travel for hours, the sky shifting from gold to gray. As you crest a ridge, you spot the source of the smoke. Below, in the shadow of a ruined stone bridge, a small campfire burns. A lone figure sits beside it, cloaked in ash-colored fabric, motionless except for the flicker of firelight against his back. Beside him, a single blade glints half-buried in the dirt. The air feels heavy, almost expectant. 🎯 Your Choices 1. Approach openly and call out to the figure. 2. Observe from afar and wait to see if he moves. 3. Circle around quietly through the rocks to get a closer look. 4. Other → as discussed

Loving the discussion! My thoughts are to approach this situation with caution. We have all woken up with a strange mark on us and no clue where we are. What if this is one of the people that put us here and they are waiting for us to walk past to finish the job?
⚔️ Day I: The Awakening
Location: Unknown wilderness Time: Late afternoon, fading into dusk Weather: Cold wind, dry air, smell of old rain and ash You wake to the taste of dust. Your throat is dry, your body heavy, your mind blank. You don’t remember your name. You don’t remember how you got here. You barely remember what you are. Only the instinct to breathe, to move, to survive. Around you lie three others, strangers, all stirring, all just as lost. The ground beneath you is cracked and gray, scattered with pale grass and fragments of blackened stone. The sky above burns faint orange as the sun sinks behind distant peaks. A single thing ties you together: - Each of you bears a faint mark scorched into your forearm: a circle crossed by a vertical line, drawn in shimmering silver ash. You have: - No weapons. - No food. And judging by the cold wind, night is not far away. In the distance, on a rise to the east, a thin column of smoke curls into the dimming sky. To the west, faint ruins peek from a line of dark trees. And to the south, a dry riverbed winds through the valley like a scar. 🎯 Your Choices → Remember, you can discuss! 1. Head toward the smoke 2. Investigate the ruins 3. Follow the riverbed south 4. Head north

To the smoke!! We need food and shelter before night falls. My character is itching to move to safety and fast

My thoughts are that a thin column of smoke means a small fire, so likely to be few people there. If it seemed dangerous, then we could potentially overpower them if we became desperate! (I've always wanted to be a player in D&D, I've only ever been a DM, so excited to think about what my character could be like!!)

Hi all! My favourite game is D&D, so when I saw this community, I new that I had to jump in! I would say that I'm a risk-taker crossed with total chaos! I love throwing in a curve ball to make things more exciting :)
