Olá, tudo bem my friend? I am sat with the the singing birds, who are heralding in 'another day', after an intense storm last evening. In my efforts to bring together the new 'Growing, living, ageing and dying' in Portugal resource in the classroom here, I communicated with Tom & Toddie about what Stoicism can bring to our awareness and lived lives. Now included, it begins... "How to practice it (Stoicism): Regular reflection: Take time each day to consider your own mortality and how it impacts your choices and actions. Visual reminders: Some Stoics use physical reminders, such as a coin or a picture, to keep the concept of memento mori at the forefront of their minds. Focus on what you can control: Stoicism emphasizes the importance of focusing on what is within your control, such as your actions and thoughts, rather than worrying about things outside of your influence, like death." --- Rather good, timeless AND timely advice, don't you think?! I wish you a great day, and leave you with the words of Stoic 'posterboy' Marcus Aurelius. In his "Meditations," he wrote, "You could leave life right now. Let that determine what you do and say and think."
