Welcome to Young Champions Lab.
If you’re here, you probably care about helping your kids get better at grappling, but aren’t always sure the best way to do that. That’s completely normal. I’m Camilo, American Jiu-Jitsu black belt, longtime coach, competitor, and father of two. I’ve spent over 15 years on the mat coaching kids and adults. I created the Lab in response to the countless parents and coaches who have asked me how they can best help their children’s athletic progress. Everything here is built around task-based games. Each game has a clear goal and is designed so kids learn by solving problems through play, not by memorizing steps. This leads to better retention, better decision-making, and more confidence on the mat. These games are easy to set up and don’t require coaching experience. They are appropriate for all skill levels from day one beginners to experienced children and can be used as a standalone training routine or in conjunction with your child’s existing training. To get started, introduce yourself below: • Your kid’s age • Whether they currently train • How you plan to use the Lab Glad you’re here. Let’s get to work. — Camilo

I have 4 boys, from a baby to 7 years old. My 5 and 7 year olds have done some BJJ classes before. Looking forward to this info from a legit Black belt and working with them at home on their skills
