1️⃣ Name & Location My name is TJ Hoag, and I am based in Michigan, USA, working fully remote. 2️⃣ Current Experience Level I have been in IT support for about a year and a half, supporting 30+ educational institutions and handling ServiceNow, Office 365, Active Directory, and identity management. Before IT, my background was primarily in customer service. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems from Saginaw Valley State University. 3️⃣ Certifications (Completed / Pursuing) I have completed the Google IT Support Professional certification. I am currently studying for CompTIA Security+ and also exploring AI Security as an area of interest and growth. 4️⃣ Career Goal My goal is to transition from IT support into backend systems and administration roles specifically targeting positions like ServiceNow Administrator, IT Systems Administrator, Office 365 Administrator, IAM Analyst, or IT Operations Analyst. I am also increasingly interested in AI security as the field continues to evolve. 5️⃣ Why Did You Join This Community? I joined to connect with fellow IT and tech professionals, share knowledge, and continue growing especially as I make the transition into more specialized systems, administration, and security work. 6️⃣ Biggest Challenges Right Now: Building out hands-on experience in systems administration and cybersecurity beyond my current support role and breaking into that next level of technical positions. 7️⃣ Fun Facts In my free time I enjoy photography, nature walks, classic TV shows and old radio dramas, and volunteering with cancer awareness organizations.
