Home daycare providers, this one is for you. ๐Ÿ’›
A lot of providers are feeling pressure right now because families are watching their budgets, costs are going up, and keeping spots full can feel stressful. But lowering your rates is not always the answer. Before you discount your program, try communicating your value more clearly. Instead of only saying: โ€œI have openings.โ€ Try saying: โ€œI offer a calm, small-group home daycare where children feel safe, loved, and supported while parents get peace of mind during the workday.โ€ That tells families why your care matters. This week, try writing one post using this simple formula: โ€œI help children feel ____ so parents can feel ____.โ€ Example: โ€œI help children feel safe, loved, and confident so parents can feel peaceful and focused during the workday.โ€ Drop your sentence below, and Iโ€™ll help you make it stronger. ๐Ÿ‘‡

Home daycare providers, what usually happens after a parent messages you?
A. They book a visit B. They ask for prices and disappear C. They say theyโ€™ll get back to you D. You forget to follow up because life gets busy No shame. This is real life. But a simple follow-up system can help you stay organized and keep the conversation going.

@Christina Rizakos I have just put all of my contracts and any other paperwork for the daycare on Brightwheel. Now it is filled out electronically. This saves me on paper and ink, plus putting them into binders!! I now have them saved in a folder on my computer. If my licenser wants to see them, I can just open the folder and let her look at each of them. The only thing I have on paper is their medical forms and authorization for medical treatment (since that has to be notarized). That is in one binder with divider tabs which has each child's name on them. I bought plastic bins for our lesson plans and printed labels for them. I bought the labels from Teachers Pay Teachers. Yes, the purchase of bins cost me some money. But it is a one-time expense that I will be able to use for years to come, plus it is a tax write-off!! I get overwhelmed with clutter. The process eases my mind. There are so many great ways to stay organized. You just need to find what works for you.
