This Sunday 3/22 - From Philly Soul to Broadway — A Living Strong Conversation with my wife Renee
Next Sunday on the Living Strong Radio Show, I sit down with someone very special — my wife, @Renee Chambers-Liciaga Renee grew up surrounded by music. Her father, Roland Chambers, worked with the legendary Philadelphia International Records, and her mother was part of the iconic group The Orlons. From those roots, Renee built her own journey in the performing arts — including Starlight Express and now rehearsing for Jelly’s Last Jam at Bristol Riverside Theatre. In this conversation, we talk about music, theater, resilience, and what it really means to stand up for what you believe in. This short clip is just a preview. The full interview drops next Sunday on the Living Strong Radio Show. Will be released for public on Sunday 3/22/26 here: https://youtu.be/3TgJ0mCMriQ

Nae, what a phenomenal interview. I just wrapped up listening to it in its entirety. Loved Peter's 6 topics for you. Just some highlights of mine: 1 - Roots. How can we ever forget our roots? The talent between your parents that you were born into, as you said, 'it's in your DNA,' is something that you can be forever proud of, and to continue to share your story, because we all have a story! 2 - I love how you mention in so many words to not only get ready, but also stay ready. You have tapped into many different levels of your theatre, stage, acting, singing, directing 'life' that, at the age when wisdom becomes apparent, makes you better! You are - continue to age like fine wine inside and out. Mentally, Physically, emotionally & spiritually! 3 - I'm in awe of the advice for mentoring our young women. They look up to us no matter what. The energy you bestow contributes to the narrative that women should not compare themselves to anyone else. I'm going to add young, old, or in between. We are all individuals, unique and beautiful in our own way. Young girls must realize that social media is an outlet which can be a benefit or detriment to our mental. Keep inspiring. MyraCal is still so impressionable and resonates with so much of what our young women continue to go through in their eras now and what's to come. We must continue doing the work to ensure they make their own history and share their stories. 4 - Love that you can talk comfortably, although not necessarily comfortable topics at times, knowing as women, wives, mothers, sisters, teachers, and pillars in the community at all levels, as you are a class act in being graceful under uncomfortable climates. I am happy to know you and love you as my sister. 6 - Continue the narrative, continue to be your 'hyped' self with all the energy that you have!!! I've embraced you from day one and wouldn't change your energy for all the tea in the world:) Continue to celebrate life and what a life of history you have built for yourself, with Peter, your offspring, and your entire family. Another 40 is nothing as you continue to live strong. Well, it is something, but as you said in so many words, your faith in God, each other, and in the 'hope' is Living Strong!
