I can't count the times, really. Just one example: As a kid and teen, I wasn't able to see blood and started a riot when I had to see the doctor. Hence everyone was surprised when I announced at 18yrs I'd begin a vocational training as a medical assistant. (By accident by the way because I quit my previous one). My parents friends were convinced I wouldn't make it beyond the 6 month mark but turned out that I love working with people and medicine. 🤷‍♀️ Ive speed theater 30yrs in Healthcare but nobody at that time saw that coming. 😂

One moment changed everything,just not in the way I expected. Years ago, I met her at work. She was a contractor, about to receive a full contract. I was settled in my role. Everything seemed clear.Then my company restructured ans instead of her getting the contract… they offered me her position.And just like that, she was on her way out.i still remember sitting with her during the transition. She was handing over “her” customers who would become “mine.” It felt wrong. Heavy. Neither of us wanted it this way.She didn’t want to leave and I didn’t want to take over like this. It was one of those moments where you feel the unfairness of timing and...life itself i guess. But we stayed in touch and years later, she came back to the company. This time, into my team. And somewhere along the way, that difficult beginning turned into a real friendship. She’s my best friend now Funny how life works sometimes ...
