Preparing the Heart for God-Centered Relationships
Before God brings the right people into our lives, He often prepares our hearts first. God-centered relationships aren’t built on chemistry alone—they’re built on healing, wholeness, and spiritual alignment. The season of preparation is not punishment; it’s protection and formation. 1️⃣ Healing Before Connecting “He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.” – Psalm 147:3 Unhealed wounds can shape how we love. God restores our hearts so we can love from health, not hurt. 2️⃣ Becoming What You’re Praying For Instead of only praying for the right person, God invites us to become the right person—growing in patience, humility, and Christlike love. 3️⃣ Guarding the Heart Wisely “Above all else, guard your heart…” – Proverbs 4:23 Preparation includes discernment—being mindful of who we allow close to our inner world. 4️⃣ Seeking God First “Seek first the kingdom of God…” – Matthew 6:33 When God is at the center, relationships flow from purpose, not pressure. What is God currently preparing or healing in your heart before your next relationship season? Trust the process. God-centered relationships begin with a God-centered heart. 🤍

@Elizabeth Hostetter That part. You need to be whole before you intertwine with another. That’s very thought provoking and powerful. Thank you for your beautiful words🥰
The Difference Between Peace and Avoidance
Not everything that feels quiet is peaceful… sometimes it’s just avoidance. As believers, we’re called to pursue peace—but biblical peace is very different from pretending problems don’t exist. 1️⃣ Peace Is Rooted in Truth “Speak the truth in love.” – Ephesians 4:15 Real peace is built on honesty, not silence. It addresses issues with grace instead of burying them. 2️⃣ Avoidance Delays Healing Avoiding conflict may feel easier in the moment, but unspoken hurt grows beneath the surface. What we refuse to face, we can’t heal. 3️⃣ Jesus Practiced Peace—Not Avoidance Jesus confronted injustice, corrected His disciples, and spoke hard truths—yet He remained the Prince of Peace (Isaiah 9:6). Peace isn’t passivity; it’s calm courage. 4️⃣ God’s Peace Guards, Not Hides “The peace of God… will guard your hearts and minds.” – Philippians 4:7 God’s peace protects your inner world even when you’re facing difficult conversations. Is there a situation in your life where you’ve been calling avoidance “peace”? Ask God for the courage to pursue real peace—the kind rooted in truth, healing, and love. 🤍

I definitely use avoidance to keep my peace. And I’m not ashamed to say it is for me and my mental health. When you get hurt time and time again by the same person you become selfish and draw a boundary. I’m not allowing a toxic relationship to fester in my life while I’m on this healing journey. Those ones (some family) are going the opposite direction of me in life and live foul lives and avoiding them is healthy for me. I take control of my peace and live happy and not stressed. I’ve talked to the Lord about it and He explained that certain people are only for a season so it’s okay to leave it behind. Stop carrying crosses that you were never meant to bare.

The Armor of Praise
When life feels heavy and battles seem constant, praise becomes more than a song—it becomes armor. The Bible reminds us that praise has the power to shift our focus from fear to faith, from struggle to strength. It guards our hearts and minds when circumstances try to overwhelm us. Praise doesn’t deny the reality of hardship; it declares that God is greater than it. When we choose praise in difficult moments, we clothe ourselves in trust. It protects us from discouragement, quiets anxiety, and reminds us who is in control. Just as spiritual armor equips us to stand firm, praise equips us to endure. In scripture, we see praise used as a weapon in battle—walls falling, chains breaking, and hearts restored. Praise invites God’s presence into our situations and transforms the atmosphere around us. It lifts our eyes from what’s going wrong to what remains unshaken. Wearing the armor of praise doesn’t mean we feel strong all the time. It means we choose faith even when we feel weak. It’s an act of surrender, gratitude, and hope—declaring that God is faithful, even here. Today, whatever you’re facing, consider putting on the armor of praise. Not because everything is perfect, but because God is worthy. Let praise be your protection, your strength, and your reminder that you are never fighting alone.

I honestly feel like when I’m in the thick of daily prayer and gratitude on a daily consistent basis, I don’t have troubles, and even if I do it’s seems small and easier to handle! It’s very comforting!😇 I find myself not ever asking for anything just thanking Him for where I’m at and for His presence 🩶

✨ Reflection: Where Did I See God This Year?
✨ Reflection: Where Did I See God This Year? As this year comes to a close, take a quiet moment to look back. Not just at the milestones and answered prayers—but also at the waiting, the challenges, and the moments that shaped you. Sometimes God shows up in the big blessings. Sometimes He’s there in the strength you didn’t know you had, the peace that carried you through, or the people He placed beside you at just the right time. Reflect and ask yourself: • Where did I feel God’s presence this year? • What prayers were answered—maybe differently than I expected? • How did God grow me through the hard moments? Take a moment to write it down or share if you feel led. Reflection helps us recognize that God has been faithful all along. 💛
