In Session - Live Writing
@Timothy Colomba thank you for creating space where we can write. I got 525 words written that would not have been written tonight if I wasn't trying to make it to this live. This is my personal challenge to the other writers out there to join when you can - I was late but decided 30ish minutes was better than no minutes!

Wow, thank you so much for writing this @Jessica Wagner ! So great to see you and work alongside one another. I'm so glad it helped. I'll go live as much as I can whenever I'm able to write. If you see that red circle on the page, hop on in! I hope to get some writing in tomorrow afternoon too.
Fix it in Post
In my freelance business (video/photo), we often say "we can fix that in post" when there's something that's better left finished than reshot. I find I have that approach in writing. Get it all out and then fix it in post. How about you? What's your approach? When writing your first draft, do you edit-as-you-go or get everything out in one shot?

@Kimberly Stebbins good point - it's something you don't consider until you try it. I used to write/edit/edit/write/edit/edit and switching to this made more sense for me.

@Claus Holm I love it! What kind of music?

@Claus Holm love it! It’s so great we can actually find any music we need to get in the vibe. I sometimes throw on those ambient looping videos on YouTube just to get a mood going.
Welcome to the Writer Therapy
Glad you’re here. I’m Tim. This isn’t a course. I’m not a therapist, and I don’t have insider tips or expert advice. I’m a writer who loves the craft and takes the work seriously. Whether you’re published, querying, just getting started, or sitting on that gnawing idea, you’re welcome here. We’ll get into the “why” behind this space later. For now, let’s get to know you. Jump into the discussions below to get started and meet our community. And remember, this is therapy right? No pressure to answer everything. Just step into our office and get comfy. One ask: You don’t have to share about yourself, but try to engage with someone else. That’s how this becomes a real community. Thanks for being here. I can't wait!

@Rachel Merritt welcome and thanks for joining! You'll be a great resource for people as our group grows. I'm in the same boat - not published. Do you consider not-finished as literally not written until the end or just not polished/edited?

@Rachel Merritt that's what we help you do here at Writer Therapy - now you've got some people to bounce ideas off of or push you through. I need it too, haha!
Writer Therapy Session Interviews
I just want to say that I’m having a great time chatting and getting to know you all here and in the Writer Therapy Sessions. I can’t wait to get them up here for you to watch! You’ve got a lot of great insights to share. Message me if you’d like to participate! It’s a lot of fun (and no joke I could talk to you all for hours).

@Kimberly Stebbins so I've been interviewing some of our members for a coming series called Writer Therapy Sessions where we talk about their current projects, their past ones, how they write, how they manage their time, and all sorts of fun, writing-related topics. It's been a lot of fun. Soon, once they're edited, I'll add them to this page and also make a YouTube channel so members can share it with their communities. Really it's just a casual convo among peers (from different points in their careers).
