Help with an Alchemist build
I want to build a real alchemist, someone who relies on alchemical items in combat (Acid, Alchemist Fire, etc. like the Pathfinder Alchemist). The problem here is that the attack roll has been changed into a saving throw, so I can't use them as improvised weapons, nor do I add any boni to the dmg, right? Is there a way around it, like using a sling? Would that mean an attack roll + the saving throw and extra damage? Of course, you can just play a sorcerer and reflavor the spells. But that's boring. I what to make use of the underwhelming Crafter feat and be -ideally- a barbarian (reckless and frenzy work with thrown weapons), or other martial.

LOL, that's sooo dirty! The "Way of no Mercy" monk! So, you could replace one Attack with the use of one alchemical item, or how can I land the 2 grenades in 1 turn? Anyway, the problem remains: Can alchemical items be considered improvised weapons? Or could they even count as monk weapons? Would you as DM allow it? BTW, Crooked Moon has a Plagueborn species (sewer rat) and a Way of the Pestilent Haze Monk, perfect for this playstyle, content sharing should be activated...

Thank you so much for your highly valued opinion! And no worries, if I ever have the honor of playing with y'all, I won’t bring such a complex character, I'll bring a sashimi character: RAW. That said, I would allow them as improvised weapons (in a Sling + Dex, Thrown + Str dmg, but not as monk weapons), for the following reasons: 1. you have to invest a whole feat to get proficiency in improvised weapons (what other improv.weapons are really worth it?) 2. alchemical items are pricey, 3. you have to hit with an attack first to trigger the saving throw.

Hi Sage! Big fan of your channel—love your builds. I even ran your Circus one-shot. I’d be stoked to roll some dice together!
