I spent most of my life with complex PTSD and learned how to overcome that in a big way using a huge range of modalities and methods and I like to support others and encourage them as well. I am a spiritual heart centred leader in the social change, healing, education and DEI fields. Some of the ways I’ve embodied this are: I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology - a Masters of Education in adult learning and global change, life skills coach certification, leadership diploma, experience as an indigenization curriculum developer, Indigenous-specific antiracism educator, winner of the BC Business Woman of the year Award for work in social equity and social entrepreneurship. I told my story in a multi album song release and inspire healing circles and spaces with music and dialogue. I have a 16-year-old daughter, who I’m raising to be independent, strong and connected to her heart and values. I have worked as a mental health and addictions counsellor and a woman’s stopping the violence counsellor and I have developed an in depth education journey for diversity, equity, and inclusion and trauma-informed practice for people who are serious about safer spaces in their own teams, companies, leadership, organizations. I also have a talk show on Rogers Tv called Simply Sacred with Auroara Leigh and the Simply Sacred Podcast. I’m trained in many spiritual arts and create my own sacred containers for healing. I enjoy supporting and guiding folks to create their own sacred containers, especially those who are interested in embodying being a heart centred leader and who value powerful social change and healing their own hearts to get there!
