I was following up on the possibility of getting Senator Whitehouse on your show. He’s from Rhoad Island and would a great opportunity to help negate the 22% cut. He’s very understanding and cares a great deal for seniors and people with disabilities.

Hi DR Ed- I filed for disability benefits on February 3 2026. As of today still no decision and it’s been 6 months. Hi Dr. Ed..I'm a new member as of today! I really like your videos . You really answer all the hard questions about social security ! I will be 62 in September and I have completed my online application for SSA retirement benefits. I received an automated email informing me that my application has been received and is being reviewed and someone will respond within 30 Days or may contact me by phone if more information is needed. The email said it was from Salinas,CA. I have resided in Arizona for 22 years does that matter? I was born in California and the majority of my career was in California. Dr Ed- if it is possible please get Senator Sheldon Whitehouse to come on your show. I’m in Texas as you know but he generally cares for all Americans and is a huge supporter of SS changes, particularly for seniors and disabled people. He’s from Rhode Island as I’m sure you know and has a great sense of listening and empathy for everyday Americans. Landing him would enhance our chances of curtailing the 22%,cut that’s coming. FYI

My name is Thomas age 61 in Texas. I filed for disability benefits on February 3 2026. I have been a warehouse/ forklift operator for over 30 years and was at my last job 18 years (2008-2026) but unfortunately was unable to continue working due to my various issues. I have 4 bulging discs(L2-L5), copd, foot neuropathy and suffer from serious anxiety among other things. I had neck fusion in 2004, and sciatica procedure in 2010. Despite this I continued to work out of necessity as I’m sure people can relate to. Anyone in or familiar with warehousing knows that over time it takes a toll on your body. In my career I unloaded over 8,000 inbound loads and loaded out about 10,000 outbounds. The physical toll on my neck, back, and feet/ legs is ridiculous to say the least. In 2024 my issues became worse and in 2025 sought medical care and long story short here I am.
