Minisforum N5 Pro NAS
just bit the bullet and throw in a order for a barebone minisforum N5 pro NAS. Going to move the rest of my 3.5 disks to the NAS. Spouse will "kill" me if she knows 😘🤪. Order will be deliver in late August ..

Well, I am planning to run proxmox on it and truenas as a virtual VM. May write a review once I have gotten it.
Anyone going after certs this year? Cloud, on-prem?
Curious how many might be going after certs this year, either on-premises tech or cloud certs?

I am constantly doing certifications, some because of company requirements, some because of personal interests. Am M365 and Azure certified. Planning to do AZ-700, AZ-140 to meet company requirements. Thinking of doing Wireshark Certification for interest. Am CISSP, CCSP, CCSK, CISA, CIPM too. Used to be AWS / GCP certified but let it lapse because I mainly do Azure today.
🔥Practice Tests for those interested in getting VCP-VCF certified
Everyone, I have been working on practice tests for the VCP-VCF exam for those interested in getting certified which is now a requirement for VMUG licensing. These take quite a bit of time to put together, so selling these for $20 to help support the Skool environment and other content creation activities. I currently have 3 practice exams of 70 questions each and will be adding new practice exams over the next couple of weeks. You can check these out in the classroom section 👍

🔥What are you running your lab on?
Hey everyone, just wanted to throw out a quick poll on what everyone is using to run their labs. Curious with the VMware by Broadcom shakeup, how many are exploring other hypervisors or technologies.

Initally Vmware Workstation, now Proxmox running on a minisforum MS-A1, used mainy for PoC testing. Got True Nas running on a DIY rig as a VM on Vmware Workstation v17 on Windows 11
Minisforum's N5 Pro NAS looks seriously awesome
The MINISFORUM N5 Pro will house up to five hard drives and three SSDs. It’s also one of the first NAS systems I’m aware of to feature an AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX PRO 370 12-core, 24-thread Strix Point processor and also a 50 TOPS NPU, 16-core graphics, and support for up to 96GB of DDR5-5600 ECC memory. Ports include: - 1 x 10 Gigabit LAN - 1 x 5 Gigabit LAN - 1 x OCuLink (64 Gbps external PCIe connector) - 2 x USB4 (40 Gbps w/DisplayPort Alt Mode) - 3 x USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type- A (10 Gbps) - 1 x USB 2.0 Type-A (480 Mbps) - 1 x HDMI 2.1 - 1 x 3.5mm audio - 1 x DC power input (19V/12.63A)
