3 BIGGEST Chess Strategy Mistakes
If you struggle in the middlegame, you’re probably making these 3 mistakes: 1) Tunnel Vision There are different types of tunnel vision, but I'm talking about when you get too focused on just one plan. Even after the plan has failed and your opponent has dealt with it successfully, you still try to make it work. Big mistake. Instead, you have to adapt to the changes in the position. Because even after one move, everything can change. Your brilliant plan you came up with a few moves ago may not work anymore. Be adaptable. 2) Being Selfish You’re not the only one playing the chess game. You have an opponent as well. But a lot of players get so focused on their own plans that they forget this simple fact... Your opponent has plans too. Always ask yourself, “what does my opponent want?” Respond to his ideas, and prevent his plans. 3) Premature Attack I totally understand, attacking is fun. But chess players often get too excited, too early. So they attack before they’re ready. That usually doesn't end well. If you haven’t developed pieces and haven’t castled yet, it’s probably too early to start attacking. It’s important to prepare before you launch your attack. Don’t get overexcited. That's it. Hope that helps! Comment below if you've made these mistakes before! Have I missed any big strategy pitfalls?
