🌸 Self-Care Sunday 🌸
Sundays are for slowing down and listening inward. Your body and mind need time to reset, just as much as your to-do list needs time to pause. ✨ Take a mindful walk without your phone ✨ Linger over a nourishing meal ✨ Give yourself permission to rest deeply Self-care isn’t indulgence, it’s fuel for the week ahead. 💬 What gentle act of care will you give yourself today?

After a very intense week of building relationships and connections (the weekly theme in one of my communities), I decided to slow down today, and had just one zoom call 😅
💪🧠 Thought Taming Thursday
Remember when you were a kid and “relaxation” meant things like lying in the grass making shapes out of clouds? ☁️ No phones No endless to-do list No guilt for doing nothing Somewhere along the way we traded cloud-watching for clock-watching Your body has been carrying that tension ever since 🖐️ Give yourself five guilt-free minutes Just… be Breathe, soften your jaw, drop your shoulders Let your mind wander like it used to Non-judgemental observation Release the focus on what hurts or what's "wrong" Notice thoughts that arise without getting caught up in them.. let them drift away like clouds passing 💬 What’s your favorite old-school way to unplug and let go?

Cooking, drawing, painting… these are still activities, as a bridge to just Be-ing.
from failure to failure
"Success is going from failure to failure without losing enthusiasm" often attributed to Winston Churchill, but there is no definitive evidence he actually said or wrote it. This phrase captures the spirit of perseverance and optimism, which aligns with Churchill's known demeanor and philosophy. it does not appear in his recorded speeches or writings. Regardless the origin, it serves as a powerful reminder of resilience and determination, key traits associated with success.

This is powerful. When I read it, I just visualised Tomas Edison going from one failed experiment to another, over 1000 times, until he got the light bulb working.
Check in, Let them Know you Care
Reaching out to someone who may be feeling alone or isolated is a small act that can make a big difference. A simple message, call, or visit can remind them that they are valued and cared for. ⚡ Today’s action is to contact someone who may be alone or feeling isolated. Loneliness can be a heavy burden, and knowing someone is thinking of them can bring comfort and hope. Taking the time to connect shows them they are not forgotten and creates a sense of belonging. It's important. With everything I've been going through, guess how many people checked in on me Thanksgiving day? Only 2 people, and neither were family. Holidays are hard for many people who may actually seem fine. 💖 Send a heartfelt message: Reach out with a text or email letting them know you’re thinking of them and asking how they’re doing. 💖 Make a phone or video call: Hearing your voice and engaging in a real conversation can make their day. 💖 Plan a visit or invite them out: If possible, spend time with them in person to strengthen your connection. These small gestures of kindness can be the light someone needs to feel supported and loved. "Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring—all of which have the potential to turn a life around." – Leo Buscaglia "No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted." – Aesop "Sometimes the most ordinary things could be made extraordinary, simply by doing them with the right people." – Elizabeth Green Take a moment today to reach out, it might mean more to them than you know. ❓💬 Who will you contact today, and how will you brighten their day?

This is so true! Holidays might be much harder than usual for people who are alone and lonely - this is what we talked about with some of my community members, too. I will contact more distant family members, acquaintances and some of my audience members today - I love leaving voice messages, this is what I actually miss a lot on Skool.
acknowledging kindness received
Gratitude has a remarkable way of uplifting our spirits and strengthening our connections with others. By acknowledging the kindness we've received, we not only honor those who have touched our lives but also cultivate a deeper sense of happiness within ourselves. ⚡ Today’s action is to give thanks by listing the kind things others have done for you. Reflecting on the generosity and support we've experienced helps us appreciate the positive influences in our lives. It encourages us to express gratitude, which can deepen relationships and spread warmth to those around us. 💖 Create a gratitude list: Write down at least five acts of kindness you've received, whether they're recent or from the past. 💖 Express your thanks: Reach out to someone on your list and let them know how their kindness impacted you. 💖 Share your appreciation: Tell a friend or family member about the positive influence others have had on you, spreading the gratitude even further. Remember, recognizing these moments can brighten your day and inspire others to continue their acts of kindness. Gratitude turns what we have into enough. "The roots of all goodness lie in the soil of appreciation for goodness." – Dalai Lama "Feeling gratitude and not expressing it is like wrapping a present and not giving it." – William Arthur Ward Take a moment today to acknowledge and appreciate the kindness you've received, it can create a ripple effect of positivity in your life and the lives of others. ❓💬 What act of kindness are you most grateful for, and how did it make a difference in your life?

I like the direction of gratitude you suggest, Wendy. Not just feel it for ourselves, but sharing our appreciation with the people who have enriched our lives. I am going to follow your advice and do it with every person I interact with today. Thank you!
