The Power of Spiritual Education
Everything in life has a strong prerequisite that you must pass through the door of learning before you can develop enough skills, to manage that occupation or calling. Learning prepares you for life no matter what you do whether in the world such as driving, or occupation or spiritually in your calling and office in the Lord. The same applies as a disciple your number one priority should be the Word of God and biblical knowledge, to simply be a Christian and live out your faith properly. To exercise your faith properly you need knowledge that your faith can be founded on and through. Secular schools helped us to have basic understanding for read, writing, and other things that gives us a level of access in the economy for instance you study and become a doctor. However many times we do those things and forget the importance of discipleship. The world has great skills in life and economy but many of them don’t know God, so what God does is He trains us in the Bible to live it and to be a witness through our occupation, now we can be a light to our work places, and other areas. The purpose here is to get us to understand that learning is important and our number one priority is the Word of God but consider that this applies in other areas of your life when necessary if you want to access and rise in certain thins in life such as an occupation, or even just learning how to cook a meal, that will take learning. We don’t stop being a Christian in school, we are 24/7 living for Christ and representing Him, we bring Christ into our daily lives from morning till night. We don’t want to live a double life. Now apply this in your discipleship life if you think to rise and mature you will need to understand the Word of God. You must be educated spiritually if you want to win souls, become like Christ and develop in your calling, it’s apart of the global vision of Christ. Jesus emphasizes this when he took his disciples from their occupation to be fishers of men they needed to learn and be educated in the things of God and that created a life of discipline which allowed them to fulfill the great commission to become apostles, sent into the nations as a witness. The training prepared them for power, influence, and commissioning. Learning therefore is an important life principle to rise in life. Economically you build stability to provide for yourself through learning and working it benefits the economy also but same spiritually you build stability, become empowered and it benefits souls and the kingdom.
