May Challenge - Finish Something
Hi everyone, welcome to the May challenge. This month the challenge is to dig out your UFO's (UnFinished Objects) and finish something this month! I think we all need to have this goal once in a while. Post below your plans for what you will finish this month!

I typically have anywhere from 15-20 WIPs in queue, in a variety of skills [sewing, knitting, crochet, tatting, slow-stitching, etc]; that's the way my ND brain works! 🤣 However, currently, I am finalizing a new knitted design for a cowl, which is being blocked, as I type...and I'm finishing a pair of socks that will go on display at my LYS...and I've pulled out a hand-sewn drawstring project bag that is upcycled from an embroidered cotton skirt I retrieved from local thrift/charity shop.
Introduce Yourself!
Welcome to Your Sewing & Handwork School--we're so glad you're here. Take a moment to introduce yourself in the comments below. You can share as much or as little as you'd like, but here are a few prompts to get you started: - What's your name and where are you joining from? - Which crafts do you enjoy (sewing, embroidery, knitting, crocheting...or all of the above)? - What are you currently working on--or hoping to learn? - what drew you to handwork or this community? This is a friendly, encouraging space, so feel free to jump in, say hello, and connect. You never know who you might inspire--or become friends with.

Greetings, all, from sunny, warm 🤣 Southeastern Arizona, USA! 🌵😎 I'm currently establishing a Mini-Homestead in a remote, rural community, doing my part to "Green the Desert," while also operating a small business teaching kids to do ALL the fiber and textile things 😁 I sew, spin, weave, knit, crochet, embroider, quilt, and do several types of lacework, including tatting...my professional career was in building & site design and construction, so I'm also rehabbing a vintage 1973 single-wide MH that's two-storey on one end. And, I am a curious creative, so I pretty much jump down any rabbit hole that comes across my path...next week I'm attending a class in Dorset Buttons! 🥳 Wonderful to meet y'all, build skills, and share inspiration! 💖
