The Great Clean Out Begins
Most of you know that my mom was quite the collector…and in the three years she has been gone, not much has changed in or around her house. My dad is ready to part with a bunch of stuff and Claire’s goal is to host her graduation party here next spring! Today, Claire started working on a manageable project - the outdoor shed with pool supplies, outdoor games, etc. It was ABSOLUTELY packed full, but she and a friend finished! First summer project at Grampy’s ✅ She feels like this will be motivating for her to continue the journey of helping my dad dig out from under the grief-filled house filled with my mom’s stuff! ❤️‍🩹

Good job
Finishing Projects
Mr. Farmhouse and the girls finished building and putting up the flagpole last night! I cannot believe the progress we have made focusing on small daily steps to completing larger projects. Today after church, we are headed to our other farm that we inherited from Matthew’s grandparents. We are going to do an inventory of projects that need to be done out and go through the same process of prioritizing them and getting some work days on the calendar for “the Spruce farm” as we call it. Happy Sunday, friends!

I love having my Flags up.
Friends
I read this during my Bible study and thought it was so fitting for our group. Oil and perfume make the heart glad, and the sweetness of a friend comes from his earnest counsel. Proverbs 27:9 Iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another. Proverbs 27:17

So true. Love that. Thank you for sharing.
To Do Today
I took the day off of work! It’s my girls’ last day of school, so I’m staying home to get a few things done around the house! I’m going to do a quick pickup, meal prep for the rest of the week & weekend, and get laundry caught up from the college kid coming home! I need to sprinkle in a few school things, but I think it’s very doable! What do you guys have going on today??? ❤️

I am working from Home today. But I am washing and folding as they come out and put up. Then I am going to figure out what’s for dinner. It’s raining a lot.

Habit
So I feel like sometimes I try to change so much at once that I basically change nothing because I am overwhelmed. But I wanted to share one thing that has changed for us as a family and I’m very excited. We have started to go to church regularly! If you know me, this is a struggle that I’m embarrassed to admit. With my husband only home one full day a week, we selfishly have stopped going to church because we were craving the extra time together. In my heart this was not working. I homeschool Christian based learning, and my youngest has been begging me to get baptized. I felt like in order to do that we really needed to be in a church where he was learning more and not just from me but from others. So, we did it! We decided to go back to church and he is getting baptized this weekend! Going back to church has made my life feel more peaceful and I’m so grateful for that. This week I plan to be more realistic and only try work on one new habit.

That’s. Me. This week I worked on my drawers. I took two large bags of clothes that I just keep pushing them to back of the pile. No more. Last week didn’t get much done.
