When was the last time you did something for the first time?
This is a question I've posed to my guests, people I've went on a livestream with, or just simply asked during a casual conversation. I can completely relate to the fact that life becomes heavy when every day looks the same (and believe me when I tell you Every Day Is Monday). Routines keep you stable, but they can also keep you stuck. I love my routines. I'm a creature of habit. Sometimes, the fastest way to wake yourself up is to step into something unfamiliar or reconnecting with something you haven’t done in a while that brings you back to life. It reignites parts of you that got quiet. It gives you a new surge of energy you forgot you had — or haven’t felt in years. Try it: Pick up an old hobby. Try a new experience. Say yes to something you’d normally overthink. Or, simply just do something you haven't done in a while (like dancing or swing on a swing or merry go round) Novelty challenges your mind. Joy fuels your spirit. And both remind you that you’re more alive than you realize. You don’t need a big adventure to feel renewed. You just need something different or something you simply have not felt in a while. Join the conversation. What is something you haven't done in a while?
