sped up/slowed versions?
hi everyone! i'm starting to plan the release of my next single & i am considering releasing a sped up & slowed version of it. i genuinely think both versions sound really cool but i'm curious if any of you have had an experience releasing like this. do you think its an effective approach? any thoughts about this release strategy in general?
Artist name change
Has anyone ever gone through an artist name change? Trying to sort it out and would love any insight on how to navigate it. And or if someone can help or assist?

i did go through this a while back when i added my last name. in my experience changing it through my distributor (distrokid) was the easy part. i realized different platforms updated differently, apple music being the biggest headache but their response team is usually pretty quick. unfortunately on spotify when i changed my name it was essentially like starting a new profile so i lost all my followers and had to start again which sucked. hope this helped :)

Do we need a website?
Hi everyone I wanted your opinion on whether you need a website or not because ever since I started music on my own I created a website and pay £12 a month for it just to sit there and do nothing basically and I would like to stop paying for it but don’t want to lose the domain but I suppose then I would only lose the domain if I stopped paying namecheap, Does anyone have any uses for this website or do you think I should keep the domain but have a free website without my own domain? I would be interested to hear your thoughts.

i think long term its a good investment. i originally got my domain because i was @temanihill.com for emails but i realized when i started applying to a lot of music related things they asked about website and ive read they take you more seriously with one. whether its your personal domain or through someone else i think its super important to have a page with all your stuff on it. most artist websites tend to be very simple too so if you do go that route it doesnt have to be super flashy
