Ideas Grow from Gratitude
It's true. Ideas and strategy need the right environment to flourish beyond the surface of your thoughts. They need the correct atmosphere, which is produced from your perspective. You need to cultivate your headspace and nourish your spirit to generate an idea effectively and efficiently bring about action. What better way to flush the clutter from your mind than to use gratitude and thanksgiving? Thanksgiving is like soul food. It feeds all the necessary spaces in your body and mind that are desired. The feelings you get and the perspective change you sense are like the good medicine your four-year-old wants to drink like it's juice, because it tastes like bubble gum or candy. Ways to Cultivate this Head Space in your day-to-day: 1. Sound - play music you love that glorifies God and sets an atmosphere of praise, thanksgiving, and worship 2. Journal - take the time to write about a moment you're extremely grateful for. It can be a time you needed God, and He came through for you, He saved you from something, provided for you, or answered a prayer. 3. Pray - commune with God and just tell Him who He is to you. It shifts your entire thought process of the day and your programmed responses for what lies ahead. 4. Love - be determined to spread love throughout the day. Let your partner know you love and appreciate them. Love your children. Encourage your colleagues at work. Compliment someone. Acknowledge yourself. These are just a few things. You don't have to do all of them at the same time. But you may find that doing one automatically positions you for another, and then another! Before you know it, you have untapped strength and productivity being brought to the surface, and you're getting things done. You feel good while doing it, and look forward to doing it again. You can start here if you'd like! Share something or someone you're thankful for in the comments.
