Love this video. I didn't know you were the Pajama Gramma. That's great, but I can also see why it might have only been for a season (especially when the world got so intense). I was in a very serious career for many years. I retired from it last year to start my Unretired AF brand. I dress in a very specific way for my business, which is only 10 months old, so the way I dress may change over time. I'm just not sure yet. We're a very rebellious brand, so maybe not. I asked ChatGPT to do a caricature of me based on everything it knows about me and my business. This is what it came up with - which was a little concerning. I'm focused on a LOT of things other than money. lol But, it cracked me up.

This was really good, @Sharon Horne-Ellstrom. I am really good at setting boundaries - both personal and professional. My issue is in how I present those boundaries to others. I am very left-brained, so sometimes I know I come off as short or curt when I don't mean to. I am super busy (like everyone these days) and sorting through decisions each day takes a significant chunk of time. So, I try to just get through it as quickly as possible, and I know that I sometimes comes off as curt. I'm working on being warmer and not coming off as dismissive. Another byproduct of that is that I'm very guarded. I'm trying to be warmer and more authentic and that can only happen if/when I let my guard down a bit and let people in. Thanks for another great video. I'm super impressed that you get yourself put together and "camera ready" every day. That's a goal of mine. I'm sitting here in pajamas and a pony tail feeling like a frump monster. So, you're very motivating regarding getting ready for my day. That's super important and I know it affects how we conduct our business. So, thanks for that motivation and leading by example.

@Sharon Horne-Ellstrom I could relate to just about everything you said there. Letting go is really hard, but I know that almost all successful people are good at delegating.

This is a great exercise. I think this one especially applies to women because we tend to be empathetic. Apologizing becomes a bad habit that we use in place of empathy at times. I have tried to work on this over the years, but I still mess up and apologize for things that I had nothing to do with. I think it's my way of trying to empathize with people, so I throw out an apology when they're going through something unpleasant or painful instead of saying what I really mean - which is "I can understand why you'd be frustrated by that." Thanks for the exercise prompt. Great idea!

And in less than three minutes, I've already said I was sorry because someone in another Skool group misunderstood me (and I apologized for being unclear - which I don't think I was). lol These old habits are hard to break!!
