🌿 Michal - Day 9: A Painful Reunion
📖 Read: 2 Samuel 3:15–16 “So Ish-Bosheth gave orders and had her taken away from her husband, Paltiel, son of Laish. Her husband, however, went with her, weeping behind her all the way to Bahurim. Then Abner said to him, ‘Go back home!’ So he went back.” This moment is heartbreaking. Michal was torn away from her husband, Paltiel, who followed her weeping as she was taken back to David. What once was love had now become a painful exchange of power. Michal didn’t have a choice—her heart was caught between two men and two worlds. This passage reminds us that sometimes life brings us back to places that no longer feel the same. What used to bring joy can now bring pain when our hearts aren’t healed or when bitterness has taken root. 👉 Restoration without forgiveness will never bring peace. ❓ Reflection Question: Have I ever been brought back to a situation I thought would bring peace, only to have it stir up old pain? What might God be teaching me in those moments? 🙏 Prayer: Lord, when I find myself revisiting painful places, help me to face them with Your grace. Heal what’s been broken, restore what’s been lost, and give me peace that only You can provide. Amen. 💬 Your Turn: Share your reflections below — how has God helped you find peace after being hurt or brought back to painful memories? 🌸

Must have been such a painful time for her and also Paltiel. God has helped me to remember I have Him to lean on in times of trouble or uncertainty.
