🚀 Government Contracting: Week 1 Action Item
Before looking for contracts, let's make sure your business foundation is in place. ✅ If You DO NOT Have a Business Yet: • Decide on your business name• Form your business entity (LLC, Corporation, etc.)• Obtain your EIN from the IRS• Open a business bank account• Create a professional email address• Create a professional voicemail• Obtain any required state or local business licenses ✅ If You ALREADY Have a Business: Ask yourself: • Is my business active and in good standing?• Is my address current?• Is my website professional and up to date?• Do I have a business email (not a personal email)?• Do my services and products clearly match what I want to sell?• Do I know my NAICS codes?• Is my capability statement started?• Are my business licenses current? 📋 This week's assignment: Review your business setup and identify any gaps that need to be addressed before moving forward with government registrations. Remember: Government contracting starts with a solid business foundation. Comment below: 1. New Business 2. Existing Business And share one thing you need to work on this week. 🚀

🌟 Happy Sunday Everyone! 🌟
As we head into a new week, remember that growth rarely happens in a straight line. This week may bring wins. It may bring challenges. It may bring unanswered emails, delayed responses, unexpected opportunities, or lessons you didn’t see coming. Don’t let a setback convince you that you’re not making progress. Every successful business owner, caregiver, healthcare professional, and entrepreneur has faced moments where things didn’t go as planned. The difference is they kept moving forward. ✅ Celebrate the small wins.✅ Learn from the setbacks.✅ Ask questions.✅ Stay consistent.✅ Keep showing up. Sometimes the breakthrough comes right after the moment you feel like giving up. As we start this week, I’d love to hear from you: 👉 What is ONE goal you want to accomplish this week? Let’s support each other and keep moving forward together. You’ve got this! 🚀

How AI helps save time with Government Contracts!
One thing that has helped me tremendously while growing in government contracting and healthcare business systems is learning how to properly use AI tools like ChatGPT, Claude, and other platforms. 🚀 These tools can help save HOURS of time when used correctly for things like:• Organizing thoughts• Reviewing opportunities• Drafting capability statements• Creating checklists• Understanding terminology• Brainstorming ideas• Writing emails and responses• Creating social media and marketing content• Structuring systems and workflows BUT — and this is important — AI should be used as a TOOL, not a replacement for understanding the process. You still need to:• review solicitations carefully• understand compliance• verify information• learn the portals• and build real relationships The people who learn how to combine:Knowledge + Experience + AI tools are going to move much faster than those trying to do everything manually. Links to valid AI: ChatGPT by OpenAI Claude by Anthropic You could also add: ChatGPT Download/App Claude Mobile App Question:Are you currently using AI tools in your business yet? If so, what has helped you the most so far? 👇
Thank you for sharing this, Diane. 😊 I completely agree. Government contracting can feel overwhelming at first because the language, systems, and requirements are very different from what most business owners are used to. Even counselors and agency representatives are sometimes working through updates and changes as they happen. One thing that has helped me is exactly what you’re doing—taking each email, request, or issue one step at a time and using AI to help translate the information into plain language. It doesn’t replace the process, but it can certainly help make it more understandable and less intimidating. The key is not to get discouraged. Every challenge teaches us something new, and each step forward builds confidence. Thank you for sharing your experience—it will help others realize they’re not alone in navigating the learning curve.

Q&A Open Discussion
Thank you for the feedback! 😊 I know government contracting can feel overwhelming at first, and that's one of the reasons we created both the community and the training program. We currently offer two separate live calls: 🆓 Free Community Q&A CallThis call is open to all community members. It's designed to answer questions, discuss government contracting topics, share experiences, and help people better understand the process. ⭐ Government Contracting Members CallThis call is for members enrolled in the Government Contracting Training Program. During these sessions, we have deeper discussions, review real opportunities, perform live contract searches, discuss bid strategies, share lessons learned, and answer questions related to the training material. The live calls are intended to complement the training—not replace it. The step-by-step training program is available through the Classroom section. The link will take you to CFS Solutions DBS, where you'll find training covering registrations, certifications, procurement portals, finding opportunities, understanding solicitations, and more. If you're new to government contracting, I recommend starting with the training program and then using the live calls to ask questions and gain additional insights from real-world examples and discussions. Please continue asking questions—we're happy to help! 🚀 https://www.cfssolutionsdbs.com/
No worries 🌞 the good part is the program is updated with information constantly for training and guidance. Much of it based on real time experience. Have a wonderful day.
