Here's a little encouragement for those of you who are in your middle today. I think the middle is the hardest part of any process because the middle has no narrative. Even failure has a narrative. If something doesn't work out, at least you can look back and say, "Here's what I learned. Here's who I became." Success has a narrative too. We all enjoy telling that story. But the middle? The middle doesn't make sense. It's where we start wondering if we've made a mistake. It's where the doubts get loud. It is where we are tempted to write a negative story simply because we don't yet know how this one ends. If that's where you are today... Don't let the absence of clarity become the presence of a negative narrative. Particularly if you've stepped out, taken a risk, started something new or are believing for something that really matters to you. Stay strong. Don't quit just because you're in the middle. One day the middle will become part of the story you're grateful you didn't walk away from.
