Welcome to Hair Loss Practitioner
Welcome to Hair Loss Practitioner™ A professional learning community for those serious about understanding hair loss beyond the surface. I’m Trichologist Dr. Leola Anifowoshe, PhD, Chief Trichologist, educator, and creator of The Hair Loss Detective™ approach. For years, my work has focused on what I believe is one of the biggest gaps in the hair and beauty industry: Clients are asking professionals why they're losing their hair — but many professionals were never trained to know what to look for next. Hair Loss Practitioner™ was created to help change that. This community is designed to help you: ✔️ Strengthen your understanding of hair loss and scalp concerns ✔️ Develop better consultation and investigative-thinking skills ✔️ Learn to recognize patterns instead of simply recommending products ✔️ Understand professional scope, boundaries, and when referral is appropriate ✔️ Explore science-informed, holistic and functional approaches to hair and scalp wellness ✔️ Learn about emerging tools and technologies shaping the hair-loss industry ✔️ Discover ethical opportunities to expand your professional services and income ✔️ Connect with practitioners from different disciplines and countries Who belongs here? Hairstylists. Barbers. Cosmetologists. Trichologists. Scalp specialists. SMP artists. Estheticians. Wellness professionals. Hair replacement professionals. Beauty professionals. And serious beginners exploring a future in hair-loss practice. You do not have to already be a trichologist. What matters is that you're serious about learning. This Is More Than a Social Group Hair Loss Practitioner™ is the entry point into a larger professional-development pathway. This free community gives you an opportunity to learn, participate in discussions, examine cases, strengthen your professional thinking and determine how far you want to take your education. For practitioners ready to advance further, structured professional education is available through the Capillorum Institute of Trichology™.

@Dr. Leola Anifowoshe, PhD Thank you so much for such a warm and thoughtful welcome. Your words truly resonate with what I'm working to build at RetroSpect Parlor. The connection between hair loss, identity and confidence is something I witness daily with my clients and it's what drives my commitment to proper assessment and education-first approaches. Too often, I see the consequences when practitioners rush to product recommendations without understanding the underlying scalp conditions and individual needs. I'm excited to be part of this community and to learn from the expertise here. The UK perspective on trichology and holistic hair restoration has been invaluable in shaping my practice and I'm looking forward to contributing to these conversations while continuing to refine my clinical skills. Thank you for creating a space that prioritizes professional development and ethical practice. It means a great deal to find a community that values the "why" as much as the "what." Looking forward to the learning ahead. Warm regards, Tanesha

@Tramaine Webster 🤗❤️ and that’s the best way to start. Understanding and awareness are so important. Educating ourselves so that we can help others as well as ourselves as we tend to neglect that part.

1. What is your current role or background related to hair, wellness, or healthcare? I'm a trichology practitioner, hairdresser and makeup artist based in London. I own RetroSpect Parlor, a wellness-first hair restoration studio and luxury head spa specialising in textured hair (3A-4C), non-surgical hair replacement and holistic scalp therapy. I've recently launched RipHair, a specialist wig revamp and restoration service. My practice focuses on clients seeking science-based, holistic alternatives to traditional hair loss treatments. 2. What interested you in the hair loss industry? Witnessing the profound impact hair loss has on identity and confidence, particularly for clients with textured hair who often face limited culturally competent care options. I'm driven by the need for proper scalp assessment and education first approaches rather than quick product recommendations that don't address root causes. The intersection of trichology science, holistic wellness and client empowerment is what keeps me passionate about this field. 3. Are you here primarily to learn, build income or both? Both. I'm committed to continuously refining my clinical assessment skills and staying current with evidence based practices. I'm also building my authority through educational content (developing a 13-book "Scalp Story" series) to attract high-paying clients who value science based, personalised care. Professional development and business growth go hand in hand in my practice. 4. What does "success" in this industry look like to you over the next 12-24 months? Success means being recognized as a leading authority in scalp health and textured hair restoration in the UK, with a thriving practice of educated clients who understand the value of proper assessment and holistic treatment. I want to have published my educational content series, established RetroSpect Parlor as the go-to destination for wellness first hair restoration, and built a sustainable business model that prioritises client outcomes over quick fixes. Success is also contributing meaningfully to elevating professional standards in this field.

Your hair grows but won’t retain length? You need a scalp strategy based on YOUR biology - not generic products. Let’s investigate. 🔬
