@Stacie Elaine thank you for posting. @Benjamin Eliah Howells I'm buying a ticket now for March 7th show right now and wondering if of we could raffle of a ticket for that show at this 18+ Craft Rave late night event. It's a fundraiser. Splitting the door prize raffles with Avenue Bistro as they suffered loss both financially due to the construction and with the Mom passing last year. They've had to close during the days in winter but since out first Craft Rave they said things are picking up. They have people reserving dinner on the night of this event and then staying for the event! So cool. Their staff are quite young and they are pumped!

We have $20 tickets on sale now. Plus a donation ticket. Plus a "sponsor a ticket" for people who can't afford a ticket. Our day time event is by donation but our evening one goes from 8pm to 2am and we want to pay everyone involved. Even our Vibe Guides (volunteers) get an honorarium. We've also gifted the DJs 2 Buddy Passes and our first ticket purchasers also received a Buddy Pass. We will be raffling off door prizes and splitting it with Avenue Bistro! If you'd like to donate soemthing for to add to a door prize or have a stand alone bigger ticket item please let me know. Let's boost this community event! Great for people who love to craft and listen to good beats but maybe aren't into the club vibes. Also great for peeps who want to come to a classy little bar, enjoy some delicious top notch food, mocktails and cocktails, work on a project then get down and dirty with some great choons. These events are monthly, change venues and alternate daytime all ages by donation and evening late 18+ events. It's pretty exciting! https://sproutpro.tickit.ca/events/33057-craft-rave-18-community-love-jam-avenue-bistro Thank you 🌱💕

Check out this chat with Ben and Marna. They dive into the start of Miss Mar's DJ journey and she touches on how she curates a show, and creating her sets around a peak song. @Marna Rogoschewsky

@Stacie Elaine agree. Finally had a chance to listen. Loved the part about one on one. Being a practitioner myself it wasn't always easy being DJ and hosting events. Back in the day it was frowned upon even though I always had purpose behind an event. Now, having this background brings so much depth to a DJ set. Marna is such a delight and I always try to get out to see her her perform when I can. 💕
From Liquid Space Disco Music: The Psychology of the Dancefloor by Shelby Lancaster
Love this!... The Psychology of the Dancefloor by Shelby Lancaster Lets talk about that moment on the dancefloor when the lights hit just right, the bass is bumping into your heartbeat, and you’re smiling at a room full of humans that don’t feel so much like strangers. It’s one of the few places where connection isn’t forced. It’s not just moving around to loud beep bop music, we’re syncing energy. Everyone exhaling at the same time, pulling us out of our heads and into the present moment. It’s why a stranger can give you a smile and that somehow feels deeper than most conversations. Music breaks down the walls we walk around with every day, and the dance floor becomes this weird, beautiful space where you are allowed to be exactly who you are. And that’s honestly what I love most about our scene. It’s never just about the lineups or which genres are trending… It's about us showing up for each other without even realizing we’re doing it. It’s the energy we create together that makes these nights so memorable, and it’s the connection that keeps the culture alive after the lights turn on and we stumble back into reality. So if there’s one thing I want to remind you, it's that we keep showing up for each other. Keep dancing like you belong, because you do! Keep supporting the local artists, the crews, the spaces, and the people who make these moments possible. Every time we step onto a dancefloor, we’re helping build something bigger than ourselves. - Shelby Lancaster
All ages parties
Hello all happy new year! I'm seeking help to throw a couple all ages parties, one on Family day the other easter Monday. I threw both of these parties last year at the downbeat with phenomenal success, we even made the Chek 6 news! We have a hall booked for this round as theres no kiddos at the club any more we just need hands on deck. We are looking to raise funds for a website to get some form of legitimacy to approach city hall in Vic to throw some larger publicly sanctioned events in Beacon hill park or maybe even some place i dont know about yet in a different municipality who is supporting of this type of fun, Victoria can be sleeeeeepy. Please feel free to shoot me a message on here! Have a great weekend

Hi Billy. I really enjoyed working with and getting to know you for the Sober Soiree Xmas Party! Can you send me a message on FB, something I can copy and paste to my wall. I have some great friends that would support this that live there. Also a few people here who aren't in this group. 🌱💕
