@M C Hello Mel, Thank you for joining the High Maintenance Cosmetics class. I understand that you’re experiencing concerns with your under-eye area. My first recommendation is to use a quality primer, followed by a concealer, and finish with a loose setting powder. When used together, these three products help the makeup adhere properly and last longer under the eyes. Begin by applying primer evenly across your face and allow it to fully dry. Next, apply your foundation and let it set. Once dry, apply concealer under the eyes and gently pat it into the skin using a blending brush or sponge. It’s very important to pat—not wipe—the concealer into the skin. Patting allows the product to properly set into the foundation and prevents creasing. Immediately after patting in the concealer, apply your loose setting powder directly onto the still-wet concealer. This step helps absorb excess moisture and locks the makeup in place. For best results, repeat the concealer and setting powder steps at least twice. This technique promotes a smooth, wrinkle-free, and long-lasting under-eye finish. Please let me know if you have any questions or need further assistance. Warm regards, Misha High Maintenance Cosmetics

💄 Lesson 1: Makeup Basics for Beginners — Start Where You Are
Welcome to your makeup journey ✨ If you’re new to makeup, this lesson is designed just for you. You don’t need experience, expensive products, or perfection — just the willingness to learn and practice. Makeup is a skill, and like any skill, it gets better with time 💕 This space is judgment-free and supportive. Every question is valid here. Before we begin, reflect on this: - What part of makeup feels the most confusing or intimidating to you? - Are you learning makeup for everyday wear, special occasions, or confidence/self-care? - What’s one skill you want to focus on first? Keep these in mind as you go through the lesson — they’ll help you learn with intention.

@M CHi Mel, When selecting a concealer, you always want it to be one to two shades lighter than your foundation. This helps brighten the under-eye area while still blending seamlessly with the rest of your complexion. The best way to test concealer shades is by applying them to the inside of your forearm. Choose the shade that most closely matches and brightens your skin tone in that area, as it provides a reliable comparison to how the product will appear on your face. Using the correct shade will enhance your overall makeup finish and prevent the under-eye area from looking dull or ashy. Please feel free to reach out if you need help selecting the right products or shades. Warm regards, Misha High Maintenance Cosmetics
