New chic on the block:)
Howdy all! I'm Tamira (Ta-my-rah)! I have a strong business side and strong creative side. Been in and out of the film & theatre industry, as an Actor, singer, dancer, as well as behind the scenes as a SPX makeup artist and boom operator. I miss those days, but I keep finding my way back and eventually want to start acting again and start writing, creating, and producing my own stories for film. So excited to be here to connect with other creatives!!

@Anthony Brown Hi Anthony! Nice meeting you! You are correct on the importance of "self-marketing" for visibility. Yes, I am experienced on the marketing side of entrepreneurship, which I'm certain @Guy Allon covers positioning yourself the right way deeper in his trainings for actors, which I just started his training. As of now, I do not specifically teach actors/performing artists on marketing, but the same marketing principles I use would apply when I get back into acting for visibility. If I could offer any valuable tips, it would be exactly what Guy mentioned for actor's basics, which is showing up online everywhere to showcase your talent consistently. I do agree 100% when @Guy Allon stated "specificity is your calling card" so I would definitely lean into your unique gifts, which is key to standing out. As far as you wanting to change your how you are perceived, I'm not sure if @Guy Allon covers this in his trainings, but it may be helpful if you expand on this!! How do you feel you are perceived now vs what do you want to be perceived as to make that shift?

The more an actor develops a full sense of his own identity, the more his scope and capacity for identification with other characters than his own will be made possible. - Uta Hagen from her book “Respect for Acting”
