Let the Compounding Begin
Hello community. When purchasing my shares of securities, I always remember to turn on the Dividend Reinvestment Plan (DRIP) feature. This week, I saw my first dividend reinvested back into my REIT! I am so excited to watch it grow and compound over time. I hope that you too are enjoying this ride to financial freedom ♥️

... I'm retired from my 9 to 5 job and am now working for me😊. I want to learn which investments make sense for me at this point in my life. I have some money in CD's that I think might be better invested in the market..possiblily the S&P 500..looking forward to some good conversations

Hmmmm, initially I would say I was one who let researching (not true researching, but more like Googling a variety of stocks based on what I was hearing other YouTubers suggest) get in the way of actually committing to the process of investing. I was letting the ups and downs of the market and the potential loss hold me back. However, once I challenged my mindset, acknowledged that I was still low risk but willing to take some risk while focusing on growing dividends, I became more committed to learning and assigning money to my goal. What resonates more with me now is determining the difference between a good stock investment vs one that’s good for me, my goals and my risk tolerance! What’s great is I don’t focus on being perfect while I’m still learning, but I try to be conscious about choosing investments that give me passive income to reinvest, diversification and a little growth over a long period of time! As always, the newsletter was a great read, thought provoking and encouraging! Thanks Wealth Twins.
I Gave My Money a Job Today
Put me in coach! That’s right….I’m staying in the investing, compound your money game. Today I decided to tell my money what to do again. I deposited some more money into my brokerage account so I can go shopping for investments that are in my list. Years ago, I would have never fathomed doing this. I had no knowledge about a brokerage account and how you can leverage it to create wealth! While I don’t have the time benefit that a 30 or 40 year old has, I want to make the most of my time and investment going forward.

@Dolores Sharp-McRae I think once we get the hang of it, we can graduate from baby steps to walking fast! A step forward is still a step in the right direction. Consistency over perfection while we’re learning!
