Hi guys. Emmanuel here. Excited to join and looking forward to learn and grow in the field of software engineering (Full stack).

So, I just landed my first customer last week. It’s a very simple project, but at least I’m getting paid for it — finally! I found my client on AirTasker, a platform that helps people get assistance with all kinds of tasks in Australia. I had to negotiate the price, as the initial offer was quite low. Even though I was competing with other developers, I was confident that my skills were more than enough to complete the work quickly and efficiently. The customer initially wanted to use some “mystic” frameworks for a simple project that could be done with plain HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. I still managed to convince her to let me build it in React — because, why not? 😄 So, thanks to Hayk, I can finally say that I’m earning money through development — and that makes me happy. Just 8 months ago, I was struggling to build a simple JavaScript carousel, and now I’ve landed my first customer. Don’t lose hope, keep grinding, and keep coding! Cheers !

Hey everyone! I’m always looking for ways to make this community more valuable for you, and based on your previous feedback, some of you mentioned that instead of generic Q&A sessions every week, you prefer sessions focused on specific topics (like AI tools, interview prep, or architecture) And it makes sense. Because when we cover one topic in depth, the recordings stay valuable for everyone, even those who couldn’t join live. But generic Q&As tend to only help those who were on the call. So I’m thinking of bringing back focused sessions, and I’ll announce the first topic + date soon. Because these take more prep, the new format would be bi-weekly instead of weekly. But don’t worry, you’ll still have time for Q&A at the end of every session to address any questions you have. What do you think about this change?👇
