I had a bizarre experience this morning. Normally you can open a dispute via phone for unauthorized hard inquiries. Now they're requiring a letter from the creditor stating they didn't have permission. However, permissible purpose trumps all of that. Has anyone else experienced this?

What can be done about accounts that couldn’t be validated and were deleted years ago being reported on my credit again?
