@David Boyce I've come across references to seeing without eyes before. Suggestions were to have coloured items in a bag and reaching in and using your skin and hands to "see" the colour. Also people who have trained their hearing to be sensitive to echoes to see. At times I've been aware while doing art that my hands were not just passively drawing that they were part of my seeing...an extension so as to see beyond the range/distance of my physical eyes.

Something of interest with my 7 year old son, is that he sees webs in the room at night. Last night he saw letters on the web like curtains he sees, during the night time. I'd be interested to learn the seeing without eyes technique to try it with my son
