Our Social Hour last night recap: Real Humans, Holiday Stories, and Simple Joys
Yesterday’s Wellness Social Hour was such a good reminder of why this community exists. We spent the hour getting to know each other outside of the businesses we run. No marketing talk. No selling. No client questions. Just real humans connecting. We shared favorite holiday traditions, talked about what we loved doing as kids, and even did a little show-and-tell from our desks. There were stories about riding e-bikes, being dog moms to energetic labs, and the simple things that bring joy into everyday life. It felt easy. Light. Human. @Veronica Trevilla And @Kim Benoy you must look into e-bikes now that you have a better understanding of their safety. 🚲 Loved the boxing Grinch @Sandy Bartlett! 🥊 I added a few photos of one of the places we rode our e-bikes in northern Idaho last summer, the teddy bear stockings, and, of course, Sadie, our lab, being cute. One of my joys is the girls curled up in my office chairs while I do my morning routine. If you missed it, don’t worry. These Social Hours happen every month, and each one is a little different. They’re here to give you a break from business mode and create a real connection with people who are on the path you’re on. If you couldn’t attend, we’d still love to know you better. Jump into the comments and answer one or all of these: ☺️What’s one small joy from your week that made you smile? 🚲What’s something you loved doing as a kid that you haven’t done in years? 📎Show & Tell: What’s one object on your desk right now? Looking forward to learning more about you, beyond what you do for work.

Alignment doesn’t happen by pushing harder video message.
Have you ever noticed that right when you’re about to take a big step… fear shows up wearing a very convincing mask? In this video, I share a message I wish more clinicians heard when they’re building a business: Alignment doesn’t happen by pushing harder. It occurs when your actions finally match the energy you’re carrying inside. Most of us were trained in healthcare to override our inner signals and stay composed no matter what. When you step into entrepreneurship, that pattern becomes the very thing that keeps you stuck. Here’s the truth: When your energy is grounded, open, and clear… Your next step doesn’t feel risky. It feels aligned. This is from the most recent podcast episode I did this week. Click here to listen to the full episode. Full Episode Link

12/11 Wellness Entrepreneur Social Hour is happening today!
Our very first Wellness Entrepreneur Social Hour is happening today at 3 pm Pacific / 6 pm Eastern, and I can’t wait to see you there. Think of this as your mid-week exhale — a space where we get to show up as humans first and business owners second. No strategy talk. No pressure to be “on.” Just real conversation, connection, and a little play mixed in. Each month will feel a bit different to keep things fresh. Today you can look forward to: • Icebreaker questions that spark honest, meaningful chats. • Mini connection moments in small breakout rooms. • Light, playful activities to help you unwind and meet new people. If you’ve been craving community that goes beyond business talk, this hour is for you. The link to join is inside the community calendar. Grab your tea, settle in, and come hang out with us. And while you’re in there, check out the full calendar for upcoming support calls, social hours, and workshops.

@Kim Benoy I'm excited to learn about everyone outside of the business they are running.
Business Tip...
Now that it's the end of the year one thing I like to do is renew annual subscriptions for my business and pay for the entire next year. This gives less cash flow going out for the new year. This month I paid for all my subscriptions as a full year so in the start of the new year I don't have money going out for expenses each month. **NOTE** make sure you log when these subscriptions are going to renew so you have the cash to renew them at the end of 2026.

Business Tip...
How we set energetic boundaries keeping our business grounded.
The moment we shift from clinician to entrepreneur, one thing follows us into the business… Clinical stress. We don’t mean for it to happen. We step into entrepreneurship for freedom, purpose, and alignment, yet the old patterns of urgency, responsibility, and emotional weight still try to follow us. Here’s how we can set energetic boundaries so our business stays grounded, intentional, and clear: 1️⃣Create a transition ritual. A short pause between “clinical energy” and “business energy” helps our nervous system shift gears. A walk, a breath, or a quick journal note signals: This is a different space now. 2️⃣Define the energy our business actually runs on. Our business isn’t built on crisis response or overfunctioning. It’s built from presence, clarity, and soul-led intention. When we name this, our body automatically begins to honor it. 3️⃣Set office hours for our energy, not just our time. This is about capacity, not productivity. When our energy is complete, holding that boundary protects both us and the business we’re building. 4️⃣Notice when we slip back into clinical mode. Rushing, fixing, or over-delivering aren’t mistakes. They’re signals. They gently guide us back to grounded, aligned leadership rather than old survival habits. 5️⃣Close our energy at the end of the day. Even a 30-second closing practice helps us release what isn’t ours to carry. It keeps the business from absorbing the emotional residue of clinical life. Our business was never meant to hold the weight of the healthcare system. It’s meant to be the space where our energy expands, and where the work we’re called to do finally has room to breathe. What comes up for you as you read through this practice?
