In the UK, May Day, the fist Monday in May is always a public bank holiday. It's usually celebrated with street fetes of which we've just come back from cold and saturated (it was sunny when we left then poured down, so we dived under cover into the nearest record shop), but I did manage to find some rare 1980's vinyl for my collection. So normally weekends for me are non-negotiable family, friends and me time. I'm telling you this so you know I haven't just abandoned you all... it's 2 days (3 in this case) where I enjoy scheduled evergreen time with my family and more local friends, and things that give me joy. Even if that's just watching TV with my kids like I did this morning. So, I'll be a bit quieter at weekends . Just letting you know why. Hope you're all enjoying a lovely one. What are you all up to this weekend? I hope whatever it is it's giving you peace and joy.

Little PSA for your sanity ๐Ÿ‘‡ One of the first things I do with every new Skool I join is go in and switch the notifications off. Not because I donโ€™t care, because I do โ€ฆ but just because the default Skool setting is to have pretty much ๐—ฒ๐˜ƒ๐—ฒ๐—ฟ๐˜†๐˜๐—ต๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ด ๐˜๐˜‚๐—ฟ๐—ป๐—ฒ๐—ฑ ๐—ผ๐—ป, and honestly, ๐—ถ๐˜โ€™๐˜€ ๐—ผ๐˜ƒ๐—ฒ๐—ฟ๐˜„๐—ต๐—ฒ๐—น๐—บ๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ด! Your inbox fills up every time someone posts, comments or likes something, and if youโ€™re in a few communities, it gets ridiculous fast. You absolutely do not have to turn them off.But if you want room to focus and get on with what actually matters, you probably donโ€™t want your email dinging every five minutes just because this place is active. Skool didnโ€™t really account for a community like ours; a bunch of people who genuinely want to chat, get to know each other, and help in a more oldโ€‘fashioned, authentic wayโ€ฆ not the new โ€œnumbers gameโ€ approach where you are just a number on a spreadsheet. ("I am not a number, I am a free man!", or should that be "person" now?) So, hereโ€™s how to reclaim your attention a bit: ๐—ข๐—ป ๐—ฑ๐—ฒ๐˜€๐—ธ๐˜๐—ผ๐—ฝ 1. Go to Skool and click your profile picture in the topโ€‘right corner. 2. Click Settings. 3. In the left sidebar, click Notifications. 4. Under Group notifications, find this community and click Change. 5. Toggle email notifications off for things you donโ€™t want (likes, new posts, comments, etc.), or turn them all off if you prefer to only see updates when you log into Skool. Tap your profile icon (usually topโ€‘right). 2. Tap Settings โ†’ Notifications. 3. Turn off any email/push notifications you donโ€™t want (likes, new posts, comments, etc.). 4. If your phone is still buzzing, also check your deviceโ€™s notification settings for the Skool app and switch those off or to โ€œdeliver quietlyโ€. You can always turn things back on later or keep just the important stuff (like event reminders) if that works better for you. Iโ€™d much rather you choose when you come in here, on your own terms, than feel dragged around by your inbox.

Totally, yes
Letโ€™s give a proper welcome to Jack Robinson ๐Ÿ‘‹
Jack builds Skools for corporates and solopreneurs, and at the moment his โ€œproblemโ€ is the kind of problem a lot of us secretly wantโ€ฆ too many projects on his plate. Many of you will already know him, but for those that don't, he runs Skoolyard ๐Ÿงƒ (1k+ members), teaching people how to make money on Skool without social media, paid ads or cold DMs... all built around freemium, leveraging with A,I and his Yard Party Method. In other words: he already ๐—ด๐—ฒ๐˜๐˜€ this whole world. More importantly though, Jack is very much โ€œONE OF USโ€. He understands the ethos here: - give real value - build genuine relationships - help people, not just harvest them for lead @Jack Robinson youโ€™re going to fit in perfectly here! Everyone else: if youโ€™re curious about Skool as a platform, how to set things up properly, or how to turn a community into something that actually pays you back, this is 100% the guy to learn from. Lets give him a warm welcome! It's also a great moment to ask a question while we've got this busy man's attention! ๐Ÿ‘‡ Show his community some โค๏ธ
