Day One 🎉
Hi, I’m a RN, currently working nights, pretty new empty nester, and now living in San Diego with my husband and our 2 dogs. I just joined today! Dr. Stephanie, thank you for creating this space. I’m guessing my cortisol has been elevated for over 20 years. I had trouble getting pregnant with my second child d/t low progesterone, I started on medication for hypothyroidism at 38 when my doctor (thankfully) realized that even though my thyroid labs were “normal” my thyroid was enlarged and working OT to keep things “normal”. The tiredness, brain fog, and last 5 years of gaining weight around my midsection and hips no matter what I do…all the signs you talk about are there. I, like most here, am tired of being told everything is “normal” and that my symptoms are just part of getting older 🤮 I’m in my 50s now and looking forward to learning, and finally taking back my body.
