When was the last time an automation broke… and you had no idea why?
You know that feeling when everything should be working but the data just stops flowing? 😅 One of the most common things I see when fixing other people’s setups is: ❌ Flows built too tightly around one user’s credentials ❌ Webhooks that trigger before data’s even ready ❌ CRMs and phone systems speaking two different “languages” Most of the time, it’s not a tool issue it’s a structure issue.Once you set things up with proper event handling and system-wide creds, everything just flows. So I’m curious what’s the one automation that keeps breaking for you no matter what you try? 👇

@Natalia Smitt I'm dusting off cob webs from college! Building in n8n and just got started this morning. Your post triggered something I've tucked away for future reference - a face condition where steps can be ready to execute before a prior step is 100% complete. Got any robustness tips or tricks to avoid that trap? TIA!

@Natalia Smitt Thaks Natalia! Great advice! I'll be expanding my know-how in the next week, working toward creating a calendar reconciliation app that includes Apple shared calendars. I haven't found any apps that work with Apple shared calendars. Google only pulls info one-way and when it does, the asynchronous behavior is erradic - it can be a few hours or up to 24 hrs, maybe more and the user cannot set the frequency. There's no trigger either. It's a challenging issue but I want to find a work-around because I refuse to cave easily to Google for this rotten option. 😊 I have had up to 6 calendars in 3 apps and I've made errors because of the manual nature associated with looking at each. Plus, clients cannot schedule an open slot as easily so even tools like calendly won't reveal true reconciled availability.
My first agent!
I'm excited to share that I've created my first agent using n8n and thanks to a few YouTube videos. 🙃 For those who have been doing this a while, you may be lol'ing about my excitement. That's ok. I am too! Before I started this mission, a couple hours ago, I had no idea how to use APIs or any of the n8n building blocks but I'm following advice I found in yesterday's video about "How I'd make money in 2026..." by the one and only Nate Herk. I'm going to continue following his recipe and see how far I can get with the power of AI! UPDATE: 2nd image is what I was able to add with Outlook. Interesting how 2FA and API Keys, etc. can all work seamlessly together to provide an outcome. Turns out, Google only refreshes an 'Other' calendar type, whenever it wants so it can take hours (8-24 hours) before a calendar updated on a shared Apple calendar appears on the Google calendar for consideration of availability or not. My work here is complete for the day. Total time is around 5.5 hours including two 10-minute breaks from never having built a functional Agent, to having one that has some robustness measures baked into the logic. I'm pretty happy with a single session's progress.

🙌 AIS is the #1 Tech Skool Community... but we need your help
Hey AIS fam, Good news and bad news. The good news, our community just hit #1 in the Tech category and #2 overall on Skool out of more than 175,000 communities! That’s incredible and a huge credit to all of you. The bad news is that with the growth, we’re seeing more spam, self-promotion, and discussions that aren't focused on AI or automation. Please help us keep this space clean and valuable by reporting any spam or self-promotion you see. Our admin team will take care of it quickly. This community is growing because of you, your engagement, questions, and support for one another. Let’s keep building a safe, focused space to learn and grow together. Cheers, Nate

📊 Quick Poll: How are you running n8n?
Curious to see how everyone is hosting their setups (for yourself, not for a client). This will take you 2 seconds to answer:

Just getting started with cloud because I haven't even created my first automation and still need to learn the benefits and downsides of each.
