Right now Virginia and Colorado are presenting legislation that could impact Mortgage Lending in negative way, due to a lack of understanding between the difference between Algorithmic progression and Artificial Intelligence, the states are coming up with their own definitions. This will not lead itself to a consistent policy in Mortgage Loan Approvals. Some states will NOT consider AUS as AI, while others might. The biggest fear is that if AI is learning to make Underwriting decisions, it could become discriminatory. Crazy world we live in, and its only going to get crazier!
