Instagram Username in GHL
Hello all, Currently working with a client who has a big following on IG. One of our big struggles is that we aren't able to get the username to be passed from IG to GHL natively for leads. Was curious if I am missing something, or if IG just does not pass the username due to privacy concerns and just passes the name. Also, wondering if anyone has figured out a work around for this.

From my experience working with IG + GHL setups, this isn’t you missing something it’s how Meta structures the data. When using Instagram lead forms through GoHighLevel, the platform only receives the fields that Meta Platforms allows via their Lead Ads API. Instagram does not natively pass the @username field only the full name, email, phone, etc. The IG handle isn’t included due to privacy and API limitations.
