Where IS the Traffic?
I’ve been thinking a lot about traffic on Skool lately. Not conversion. Not MRR. Not “crushing it.” Just the very basic question: Where does the traffic actually come from? So I’ve started looking at what the successful people here keep saying, what seems to overlap, what I think might actually work, and what I’m going to test. At the moment I do not have the answer. Which is, inconveniently, probably why I don’t have the traffic. I have a slightly ridiculous idea for exploring this properly. More soon.

Progress in July
Last day of July. This month I finally stopped “planning to make video” and started building the actual workflow. So far I’ve: - set up the camera and recording space - installed and started learning DaVinci Resolve - created the Room to Record YouTube channel - published the first video - started building the next one - planned the first 10-20! - added new resources and bonus sections inside the community - begun shaping the 30-Minute Room Reset into a proper small product which I hope to release in the next few days There is still plenty unfinished, because apparently one month does not contain seventeen months. Today’s target is simple: publish another video and keep the momentum moving into August. What did you actually finish in July that had been sitting on your list for too long?

@Avinash Khatri good question. I don’t think they are yet. Traffic is absolutely what’s needed. I have YouTube Facebook Insta and a website, but need everything to scale and a bit of growth boost on top!

@Avinash Khatri I'm not sure. I guess I will create more content but also try to engage more across my group and in skool in general. But always open to suggestions. I guess by the time i am doing my 10th video it will be better produced and received?
Studio Output
A tiny bit of making, rather than talking about making. This is a short Trackvis clip for 'Meditation of the Mantis' by Baulk at the Möön. One of the things I want Room to Record to show more of is the actual output that comes from having a space and workflow that works. Not just rooms, gear and productivity theories, but the songs, videos and weird little things that eventually escape from them.

The first Room to Record video is live
Today I stopped planning the video workflow and recorded the first proper Room to Record video. It is Version 1. I am still learning DaVinci Resolve, refining the camera setup, working on my delivery, and figuring out how music, samples, images, sound effects and stranger ideas will become part of the style. But it exists, it is finished, and it is public. In this first video, I explain what Room to Record is and why building a practical creative space is about more than buying gear. Design your creative space. Beat the friction. Make things. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ttss9iyeNf4
Show me the FAIL
I’d rather read 10 honest mistakes than one success story. Success tells me what worked for one person. Mistakes tell me what I should avoid. What’s the most useful mistake you’ve made while building your community?
