How many of you are in associations?
Are you with a traditional group, how do you find it? Does it restrict your thinking or syllabus in anyway?

I'm fully independent an starting out looked at associations but don't seems worth it

Absolutely personally never enjoyed comps did them at my sensei's request but always found the atmosphere was lacking respect an self control , Small comps were better when just 2 or 3 local clubs involved. But comp fighting isn't my aim in karate an so far my students an parents are happy with that
