That Voice in Your Head? It’s Not Always Right. There’s a voice in your head that always says no—don’t post that video, don’t record that song, don’t go to the gym. Just stay comfortable. But that voice isn’t always to be trusted. Sometimes it sparks great ideas, and other times it holds you back from what you need to do. You don’t always see it in the moment, but every time you listen to that hesitation, you slow down your own progress. This isn’t a sprint. It’s a marathon. A 5, 10, 15, 20-year journey to get where you need to be. It took me 6-7 years to realize that my biggest obstacle was me—not the industry, not my environment, not other people. Nobody owes you anything. Not your audience, not your family. Success comes from showing up every single day, making sure people can’t ignore you. It won’t happen overnight, but if you don’t put in the work, it won’t happen at all. If you improve by just 1% every day, by the end of the year, you’ll be 365% better. But if you let yourself slack once, it gets easier to do it again. And again. And again—until you’ve stopped completely. The key? Structure. Work when it’s time to work. Rest when it’s time to rest. Otherwise, you’ll end up stuck—feeling like you’ve done nothing, but also never truly relaxing. I struggle with this too. I’m not perfect. Some days I don’t want to work. Some days I let myself slip. But the difference is knowing when you’ve fallen off and not making excuses for it. Even if you sit down and make a terrible song today, you’re one step closer to a great one. Even if your workout isn’t perfect, you’re stronger than you were yesterday. Because the only bad workout? The one you didn’t do. Get out of your own way. Show up. Do the work. Let me know in the comments, whats holding you back? Whats that voice saying to you today? Hope this helps today.

Take It Serious, If Not Make It Personal
Wassup everyone I got by the name Stevie Cray I'm a rapper from South Africa. 21 years of age started doing music at 13 & will say I took it serious at 3 years ago when I was kicked outta school. The first i got gigs, local industry plugs & bitches. Last year stopped coz of college, but decided to drop out because it wasn't for me and the whole environment was shit. This year I'm locked in & going harder then be4 coz I have no way out but you do music so in a way I have a lot to prove I don't need to mess up but the people around me because in January I have already made some type of impact around my neighborhood so a lot of people are counting on me💯.
