Lesson Learned - Wood Floors
I bought an older house, pier-and-beam, wood floors. When we lifted the cheap particle board planks we discovered a beautiful oak wood floor, with the exception of sections missing and replaced with plywood. Rather than go through the expense of replacing plywood with more oak flooring and refinishing, we decided to cover it all up with commercial grade luxury plank vinyl. The flooring guy put down a vapor barrier before setting the vinyl. He said it was necessary or moisture will rot the oak. Six-months later the oak flooring underneath is buckling because moisture cannot escape, causing the oak to swell. Now we have to lift the vinyl, rip reliefs in the oak flooring, tack it down, and put the vinyl back down. Lesson here: don't put plank vinyl over older wood flooring without ripping relief cuts for expansion.

Where are you from? Tennessee What are you working on? I am currently working a land deal where the only heir is in prison for Attempted murder. What immediate help do you need? I have seem to hit a dead end in this , or just a mental block. Other than sending the heir mail what would be the best way to get about contacting this owner?

Hey I’m Steven from Middle Tn. I have wholesaled flipped and wholetailed since I started about 6 years ago. However I’ve been inconsistent. … I am looking to gain insight and help how I can improve and close a deal a month consistently. I cold call for a living as a commercial roof sales consultant so cold calling is no issue. I’ve always focused on high issue hard to reach property. Can anyone share their KPIs to shed light on what a consistent, healthy pipeline looks like so that I can mirror a process?
